left the Jedi Order in Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 5 – but she’s still undeniably connected to the light, a beacon of hope in the galaxy. As Anakin Skywalker’s former apprentice, Ahsoka has faced more than her fair share of dangers, all of which have contributed to her becoming the formidable Force- we see in Ahsoka.
Ahsoka wasn’t the only Jedi around during the Empire’s dictatorial reign, however – fellow Order 66 survivor Kanan Jarrus discovered a young Ezra Bridger on the planet Lothal, his Force sensitivity obvious from the start. Kanan trained Ezra like no Jedi had been trained before – in the field, without the restrictions of the Jedi Order’s most restrictive rules, and Ezra thrived. He became an integral member of the Rebellion, alongside Ahsoka Tano. Now that he’s returned home after his exile, he’ll be a massive asset in the fight against Grand iral Thrawn. But which of these unusual Jedi is more powerful overall?
Both Ahsoka Tano & Ezra Bridger Are Jedi Prodigies
Both Ahsoka Tano and Ezra Bridger could be considered Jedi prodigies. They were powerful from a young age, strong enough to stand by their masters during dangerous battles when they had only just been accepted as Padawans. Ezra’s first lightsaber was an unusual design – one which showed his ingenuity and unpredictability – and he soon developed an unusually powerful aptitude for the Force ability known as “taming beasts,” connecting with all manner of creatures with such ease it hardly cost him any effort at all. What sets Ezra apart from other Jedi, however, including Ahsoka, is that he has a great capacity for empathy.

Ezra Bridger's Timeline Explained: Star Wars Rebels Origin, Ahsoka Return, & Future
Ezra Bridger has only appeared in Rebels and Ahsoka, yet he is a majorly important character; here are the key events in his full Star Wars timeline.
Jedi, on the whole, are, of course, capable of sympathy – they want to help those less fortunate than themselves and protect those who do not have the means to do so. Empathy, however, is a difficult concept for many Jedi to grasp. How can they empathize with someone when they never truly let themselves feel or sit in their feelings? How can they relate to those they are trying to help? Ezra could do all those things and more – he was trained at a later age but learned to love, fear, question, and deal with his emotions like few other Jedi ever could.
Ahsoka Trained Under Anakin Skywalker Himself
Under Anakin Skywalker’s watchful eye, Ahsoka became an incredibly strong and creative Jedi. Her training with the clone troopers as seen in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi episode 5, and the solo adventures she went on during the Clone Wars, all proved her mettle. Anakin gave her the tools to survive, to think outside the box, and to let her instincts guide her. She trusted the Force, of course, as all Jedi did, but she knew being a Jedi was about more than that, too.

Ahsoka Tano's Viewing Order: Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, & Live-Action Debut Explained
Since her debut in The Clone Wars movie, Ahsoka Tano has become one of the franchise's most important characters. Here's her journey (so far).
Anakin made her a fearsome warrior – he encouraged her lightsaber skills and gave her the tools she needed to become a master of Jar’Kai (dual lightsaber wielding). Even after she left the Jedi Order, she defeated and captured Darth Maul in a duel when she was just a teenager, survived a clone trooper ambush, killed an Inquisitor with one stroke of her lightsaber a mere few months after Order 66, and held her own against Darth Vader himself in Star Wars Rebels season 2. Ahsoka truly is a force to be reckoned with.
Ezra's Feats Dwarf Even Ahsoka's
How can you measure a Jedi’s strength and power? It is a completely subjective question. Some Jedi value wisdom and knowledge over raw skill. Others saw combat and proficiency with a lightsaber as a means of measuring strength, and some may have found it useful to measure a Jedi’s connection to the Force by understanding their range of Force abilities.
How can you measure a Jedi’s strength and power? It is a completely subjective question.
On the surface, Ahsoka is the more experienced, wiser, and stronger Jedi of the two. She’s been around for a long time. Ahsoka has survived dozens if not hundreds of dangerous altercations and duels, and was even resurrected by the physical embodiment of the light side of the Force – the daughter of the Mortis gods.
Ezra, however, has yet to reach his full potential. His ability to summon and communicate with the purrgil, Star Wars’ hyperspace-traversing space whales, is extraordinary. He managed to survive on Peridea for years without a lightsaber – he’d handed it off to the Mandalorian Sabine Wren before he went into exile – and he is undeniably selfless, as all Jedi ultimately should be. Ahsoka may have had more formal training by a more capable Master – Kanan Jarrus, after all, never completed his own training, as he experienced Order 66 when he was just a Padawan – but Ezra may yet sur Ahsoka.
Ezra Bridger and Ahsoka Tano met through Ahsoka's undercover work for the Rebellion, when she operated under the code name Fulcrum in Star Wars Rebels.
Most importantly, however, both Ahsoka and Ezra never gave up. Ahsoka never stopped searching for Ezra – and by extension, Grand iral Thrawn – and Ezra sacrificed everything to save his homeworld, Lothal. If (and when) Ahsoka Tano and Ezra Bridger forces again in the fight against Thrawn, they’ll make a formidable, if not unstoppable, Jedi duo.

The apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano was an accomplished Padawan who served during the Clone Wars. Ahsoka left the Jedi after she became disillusioned with the Jedi Council, but returned to serve in the Siege of Mandalore at the end of the Clone Wars. She survived Order 66, becoming a Rebel agent during the Dark Times of the Empire's reign, and her adventures continue in the New Republic era. Ahsoka was last seen stranded in a distant galaxy, having failed to prevent Grand iral Thrawn's return.
