With all the freedom you have in Starfield to make custom ships, it's no surprise that memorable ships from other media, like the X-Wing from Star Wars, have begun to appear. With ships being one of the game's core features, many players want a design that represents them, but constructing from the ground up can cost plenty of time and Credits.
Luckily, several players have taken the time to begin building these ships and have been kind enough to share their designs with others so they can shave off some time by following the already constructed design. One specifically is the Reddit Fudgiebrown, who shared the complete design for building Star Wars' X-Wing ship.
Where To Get Parts For The X-Wing
To start off, there's not really a good base ship to start with, as the easiest way to build the X-Wing is to take a ship, like the Frontier, and then delete everything, so the build begins entirely from nothing. Luckily, all the parts for this build can be accessed easily on New Atlantis, make some money in Starfield before attempting this build.
Additionally, other factors may confuse players when working off someone else's completed build, such as part names changing. Part names may change when they are flipped over or moved to a certain position, so be sure to acquire all the parts as they are listed below, not as they are labeled in a complete build. For example, a Nova Cowling 2L-TF will become a Nova Cowling 2L-BF when flipped over, but the Nova Cowling 2L-TF part is still needed. If you attempt to purchase the 2L-BF, you won't be able to find it for this reason, causing frustration. All the parts that will be required for this build include,

How To Build The X-Wing
With all the parts acquired, all that is left to do now is to design the ship in Starfield. As said, it's best to start from the ground up, with the first piece being the base landing gear, the NG-6 Landing Bay. From there, the ship's core will need to be constructed, and each side will need to be designed to mirror each other. Weapon attachment should be the last aspect once everything else is attached.

Once all the steps are completed, players will have successfully recreated the Star Wars X-Wing in Starfield. Unfortunately, as stated, the most challenging part of this build is just acquiring everything needed, as certain parts will require progression in the game to be unlocked, and several thousand Credits will be needed to purchase the parts from vendors. Luckily, the building process will be pretty straightforward, and players will have their completed ship in no time.
