Players who own MMORPG creature battler Temtem on current-gen consoles might like to pick up and play on it on an entirely different platform without losing their progress.
Even during its Early Access days, Temtem proved highly popular, particularly for players who’d spent much of their gaming lives enjoying the Pokémon games but perhaps found themselves underwhelmed by the latest series entries. Heavily inspired by the catching, collecting, and battling gameplay of the Pokémon series, Temtem has players stepping into the shoes of a Temtem Tamer and exploring the floating islands of the Airborne Archipelago. However, unlike Pokémon, Temtem is a full-blown MMORPG, allowing players to interact with one another as they explore the islands.
Although Temtem has skipped the PS4 and Xbox One, players on all other platforms can set up the cross-progression feature and play on multiple platforms. However, setting up cross-progression can be tricky, and getting it working requires players to follow a set process.
How To Set Up Cross Progression In Temtem
Players should first boot up Temtem on their platform of choice. The process asks players to select the main platform, so players should start by booting up the game on the platform with the character they’d like to use on the other platforms they own. For example, if players have spent most of their time collecting creatures and earning lots of cash in Temtem on PC, this is their main platform.
Once the game is booted up, players should open their in-game menus and select Settings. Under the Game tab in settings, players should scroll down to the section at the bottom and click the plus icon next to cross-progression. This will open up a new tab prompting players to choose whether this is their primary or secondary platform. Selecting the main platform option will cause a new screen to pop up containing an code that players should copy down. Next, players should boot the game on the other platforms they want to use and navigate to the section under the Game tab in Settings. This time, they should select the secondary platform option and enter the code.
Players should be aware that if they have made any progress on the secondary platform by collecting special items in Temtem or choosing a starter Temtem, they first need to delete their saves; unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to merge s in Temtem. Instead, players can erase their characters by selecting the Reset option under the section. Luckily, there don’t appear to be any restrictions on the number of secondary platforms players can link, so they can take their progress with them on as many platforms as they please.
