Caliber is a currency in The First Descendant that can be used to unlock new Descendants to play as if you don't want to grind to get them for free. It can also be used to purchase cosmetics like themed skins and makeup for your characters to wear, as well as various gameplay boosts, making it a very desirable currency for players to stock up on.
The First Descendant is a free-to-play sci-fi looter shooter from developer Nexon, where players forces in co-op multiplayer to save the Ingris continent from waves of enemies. Like most free-to-play games, there's a range of currencies to earn that let you purchase different items. The First Descendant's currency is called Caliber, so here's what you need to know about it.
How To Get Caliber In The First Descendant
You'll Need To Spend Real Money
Right now, there are only two ways to get more Caliber in The First Descendant, and they both require you to spend real money. The first (and quickest) way to get your hands on Caliber is to purchase it outright from the in-game Shop. There's a range of bundles you can buy, with extra Caliber thrown in with higher-cost bundles. You can see how much Caliber costs in the table below.
Caliber |
Cost |
---|---|
250 Caliber |
$4.99 / £3.99 |
520 Caliber (includes 20 Bonus) |
$9.99 / £7.99 |
1060 Caliber (includes 60 Bonus) |
$19.99 / £15.99 |
2750 Caliber (includes 250 Bonus) |
$49.99 / £39.99 |
3920 Caliber (includes 420 Bonus) |
$69.99 / £57.99 |
5750 Caliber (includes 750 Bonus) |
$99.99 / £79.99 |
The second way you can get more Caliber is by unlocking it in the Battle . Each page features 25 Caliber, for a total of 300 Caliber if you manage to finish the entire set. Of course, to get these rewards, you need to spend 500 Caliber on the Battle and reach Level 95 before the current season ends, so it's up to you to decide whether that's worth it.
What Is Caliber Used For In The First Descendant?
New Descendants, Skins, And The Battle
Caliber is used to purchase pretty much everything in The First Descendant's in-game shop, whether that's a new Descendant to play as or a fancy skin for your favorite character to wear. It's also required to purchase the current season's Battle . a bit like in Fortnite. The list of things Caliber can be used for is as follows:
- Battle
- Descendant's Tickets
- Normal Descendants
- Ultimate Descendants
- Limited Skins
- Skins
- Common Skins
- Makeup
- Common Cosmetic Items
- Attachments
- Material
- Boosts
You don't have to spend Caliber to get new Descendants. They can be unlocked for free by speaking to a character called Anais in Albion, but you'll need to gather quite a lot of resources for each Descendant.
Although the game is free-to-play, there are a lot of things that require you to spend real money on Caliber. There's always a chance that Nexon could add free ways to get it in the future. But for now, the only way to get this currency in The First Descendant is to purchase it or unlock it through the Battle .
