One of the engaging new mechanics introduced in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is the ability to interrogate enemy players, who will be forced to give the victors of a gunfight vital information about their squad's position. While aiming mastery and fast reflexes are significant factors in achieving victory in Warzone, map awareness and predicting enemy positions is a skill that comes from hours of practice. While it is impossible to know exactly where an opponent is lurking, those who have played a specific map dozens or even hundreds of times can develop a good idea of where their foes are. However, interrogation completely removes this skill-based element.
To interrogate an enemy in Warzone 2, players must first down their opponent in battle, causing the other combatant to fall to the ground into a crawling position. If the victor is close enough, a prompt will appear that reads, "Hold 'an input' to Interrogate and Mark Enemy Squad." This input button or key will vary depending on one's platform or modified control scheme. For instance, the default input for interacting on a PC is the F key.
Interrogating Enemies in Warzone 2
When interrogating an enemy in Warzone 2, a progress bar will appear on the HUD. Once it has become full, the team of the interrogator can see the target enemy's allies on their minimap. In addition, the opponents' positions will be given away by small blink red dots that blink at the location of each enemy within the squad. With these visual indicators now active, players can easily hunt down their foes in Warzone. Nevertheless, there are two things to keep in mind when performing an interrogation in Warzone 2.
First, as mentioned above with the progress bar, interrogations in Warzone 2 are not instant but require a short period when both the interrogator and the interrogated do not move but remain in a fixed position. During this time, the player performing the interrogation is vulnerable to being attacked, similar to how Legends in Apex Legends can still be killed while executing a finisher animation on a down enemy target. Another thing to keep in mind is that players should communicate with their teammates that they are performing an interrogation. According to gameplay footage by squad in Warzone know what is going on to avoid accidentally losing the opportunity to reveal the enemy squad's position in Warzone 2.
