What To Know About Anya-Taylor Joy's New Show

There's Strong Talent Behind The Scenes

The series features Taylor-Joy in the role of Grace. Though the character is motivated to kill her family due to the promise of a sizable inheritance, there's more at stake. The official synopsis, included below, points to the fact that Grace has a complicated family history and suggests that achieving her murderous goal won't be as easy as she thinks:

“Grace has a complicated family. Her dad is Simon Artemis; a billionaire and ruthless social climber. She’s the product of an affair he claims not to and Grace and her mum were left to fend for themselves. When her mother dies and she’s rejected by the very people who should love her, Grace transforms her anger into something useful: killing off this estranged extended family via morbidly creative means. Grace is clawing her way towards revenge and a hefty inheritance, but her mission only pulls her further away from what it is she really needs.”

How to Kill Your Family is similarly accomplished behind the scenes, as it will be written and executive produced by Extraordinary's Emma Moran. With a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and similar acclaim from audiences, Extraordinary is an adult superhero comedy that manages to wade into difficult territory while still managing to be entertaining. It promises a successful recipe for Taylor-Joy's new TV project.
