In Madden 23, players can start a fantasy draft in Franchise mode in just a few quick steps. In addition, since Madden will save multiple Franchise mode files, players can do multiple drafts for fun, practice, or competitively both online and offline.

Steps To Start A Fantasy Draft In Madden NFL 23

  1. To start a franchise in Madden, players should choose the third option from the left at the bottom of the screen titled “Franchise” (Not “Face of the Franchise”), found on the home screen.
  2. The next screen will show all current Franchise save files. Choose “Create New League” at the bottom left of the screen (the emblem shows a “+” sign with a circle around it).
  3. The following screen will show four different options to choose from (two for Online and two for Offline). Players can either create a Franchise mode for Online with other players online or do Offline and play with all U opponents. In Online mode, players can either use “Real Life NFL Rosters” or “Active Rosters.” In Offline mode, players can either use “Preseason Rosters” or “Active Rosters.” Players should choose “Active Rosters” to set up a fantasy draft.
  4. Next, players will choose their team in Madden 23. This will not affect rosters, but it will matter for players who want to do Owner mode or for players who wish to use a current NFL coach.
  5. After selecting a team, players should scroll down twice to the selection that says “Starting Point.” Here, players can choose “Fantasy Draft” in the bottom right of the screen.
  6. After updating the desired settings, players choose “Start Playing,” which will take them to a home screen within the Franchise mode. Then, when ready to start the draft, players will select “Start Your Fantasy Draft” on the home screen and then select “Start Drafting” (If doing an Online Franchise, make sure all of the league are present and in the draft room before starting the draft in Madden 23).
  7. Finally, the draft has started and will simulate picks until the next team is on the clock. Then the will be able to select their team round by round.

These are the simple steps to starting a fantasy draft in Madden 23. Players in a competitive league should use these steps to do multiple offline drafts as practice leading up to the real thing.
