The Hulk is no stranger to becoming different colors as a hero, but the longtime Avenger gained one of his most powerful forms ever when he became Marvel's Blue Hulk. In Captain Universe: Incredible Hulk, Bruce Banner was chosen as the new host of the Uni-Power. After taking on the incredible cosmic powers, he turned a new shade of blue and temporarily became one of the most powerful versions of the Hulk ever.
Many know the Hulk as the Jade Giant, as the Avenger has been depicted as green for almost his entire Marvel Comics' existence. However, the character underwent one of the most famous changes after debuting in Hulk #1 as grey, not green. Stan Lee famously decided to turn the character green soon after his debut because of ink/coloring issues. The change worked out for Marvel and Lee and artist Jack Kirby, as the green monster would become one of its most popular heroes. But, in the comics, the Hulk has taken on his old grey form again; multiple versions of Hulks have been red, and some have even orange. However, one of his coolest transformations was when the Hulk turned blue.
In Captain Universe: Incredible Hulk by Jay Faerber, Carlos Magno, Al Vey, Guru-eFX, and VC's Rus Wooton, the Uni-Power chooses the Hulk as its temporary host. The incredible cosmic power reveals it's been compromised and wants the Hulk's power so it can learn more about his own power loss. The Uni-Power promises to repress the Hulk until Bruce Banner can meet with a scientist who can help the Uni-Power. However, after meeting the scientist, the Avengers' hero is ambushed by others seeking out the Uni-Power. After the Uni-Power is stolen from Banner, he turns into the Hulk, as the scientist helps knock the power back to the hero. In turn, it turns him into the Blue Hulk.
With the Uni-Power, the Blue Hulk rips apart a series of robot attackers and claims, "Hulk is really strongest one there is." He proves indestructible and powerful as ever during his rampage. After the attack led to the death of the man trying to steal his powers, the Blue Hulk escapes and calls for Matt Murdock's help in proving the scientist's innocence in the murder. The next issue features the Uni-Power jumping into a new host, Daredevil.
It would be fun to see the Blue Hulk get another chance with the incredible Uni-Power, as the cosmic force has been most recently seen pairing up with Venom and making him the God of Light. Marvel's Blue Hulk was a short-lived upgrade that made Marvel's strongest hero even more powerful. It's too bad it didn't last for the Avenger.
