Thor is one of the most powerful gods in the God of Thunder has ever taken part of.

The Avengers' heroes facing off against each other isn't anything new. While fans might be most familiar with Thor taking on Hulk in the Thor: Ragnarok, the two have battled in the comics on multiple occasions. But, no fight was more embarrassing for Thor when he tried to take on the Hulk and got beat by his own hammer.

In the one-shot Hulk: Let the Battle Begin by Jesse Blaze Snider, Steve Kurth, Andrew Hennessy, Chris Sotomayor, and Dave Sharpe, the story follows Bruce Banner as he awakens in areas unknown after transforming to the Hulk, wearing nothing but his purple pants. The story reveals what caused Bruce to Hulk out. While visiting Mount Rushmore, Bruce observes the Wrecking Crew smashing the nose off of Abraham Lincoln. He transforms into the Hulk and easily defeats the C-list villains. However, he does more damage than good, as he's partly responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in damage, while the Wrecking Crew's ransom was only ten million dollars. After landing on the ground, Hulk is confronted by Thor and it doesn't end well for the Asgardian.

Thor Smashed by Mjolnir

Thor strikes Hulk with lightning while getting called a "lady" for his long hair. After Thor lands a couple of blows to Hulk's head with Mjolnir, the green monster grabs his opponent's hand and smashes him with his own hammer. It's essentially the comic equivalent of "stop hitting yourself," as the Hulk knocks Thor out cold with Mjolnir. Hulk escapes as Thor lays on the ground with bruises and blood all over his face. It was quite the thrashing.

You'd think Thor would have learned by now that Hulk has learned he can use his hammer against him. But, in this case, Thor's attempts to stop the Hulk fail spectacularly. It's one of the most embarrassing defeats Thor Odinson has ever had and one he probably wouldn't bring up again if given the choice. Getting beat by the Hulk is one thing - getting beat by your own hammer is another. He had good intentions, but Thor got absolutely destroyed by Hulk in this fight.
