The best TV shows on Hulu feature some of the best television shows from network television over the last few decades, as the streaming service offers more popular shows than almost any of its rivals. In April 2025, there are lots of great movies hitting the streaming service, including favorites like The Equalizer, Gone Girl, The Karate Kid, 21 Jump Street, and The Wolf of Wall Street. The streaming service will also see The Handmaid's Tale stream its final season of the series, bringing the story to a close.

In Hulu news, the streaming service continues to pick up some great properties, and one of the latest includes a new drama with Emmy Rossum inspired by the 1987 movie Black Widow (via THR). There is also a new dating series coming to Hulu produced by Alex Cooper called Overboard for Love (via THR). However, not all of the Hulu news was good in March. With so many big live events heading to live streaming, things went all wrong for Hulu, as the streaming service accidentally ended its Oscars stream before the final awards were handed out (via Deadline).

• The Great (2020-2023) [Historical Dark Comedy] - The mostly fictionalized story of Catherine the Great and her rise to power in Russia despite everyone being against her.
• Justified (2010-2015) [Neo-Western Crime Drama] - A U.S. Marshall enforces justice by any means necessary in the Elmore Leonard small-screen adaptation.
• Castle Rock (2018-2019) [Horror Anthology Series] - Hulu brings the world of Stephen King to the streaming service with fresh and new stories in his haunted Main town.
• What We Do in the Shadows (2019-Present) [Comedy-Horror] - A mockumentary about a group of vampires living in the United States who unexpectedly find themselves simply enjoying everything modern life has to offer.
• Philadelphia named Paddy's Pub and are some of the most morally corrupt sitcom characters ever conceived.
• takes the mockumentary format which made shows like The Office and Modern Family so popular and focuses on the staff of the fictional Willard R. Abbott Elementary School.
• Adventure Time is a cult hit with bizarre battles in the Land of Ooo.
• a cast made up of nearly all Indigenous actors, the series follows a group of four friends in rural Oklahoma as they dream of running away to California, all while dealing with the stresses of growing up.
• Modern Family's documentary-style camera work was nothing new, the hit comedy nonetheless manages to be completely original thanks to its colorful characters and chaotic, hilarious situations.
• Schitt's Creek (2015-2020) [Sitcom] - Schitt’s Creek chronicles the fall and redemption of the affluent Rose family as they're forced to rebuild their lives while bumping against the down-to-earth and provincial citizens of a small town.
• Atlanta (2016-2022) [Comedy-Drama] - Donald Glover stars in an innovative comedy-drama that follows college dropout and music manager Earn (Glover) as he tries to make it big, though things get unsettling and harrowing at times.
• Bob's Burgers (2011-Present) [Animated Sitcom] - The Fox animated series features Bob Belcher and his family as they make ends meet in New Jersey while facing several wild setbacks along the way.
• The Bear is a black comedy-drama about a classically trained chef (Jeremy Allen White) who has to return to his hometown in Chicago to help run the family restaurant, but it is never that easy.
• The Rookie (2018-Present) [Crime Drama] - Nathan Fillion stars in The Rookie as John Nolan, a newly divorced construction company owner in his mid-40s who enrolls as the oldest rookie in the LAPD.
• The Handmaid's Tale (2017-Present) [Sci-Fi Drama] - Based on the novel of the same name, The Handmaid’s Tale takes place after a fictional second American Civil War, which leads to a dystopia where men are the ruling class, and women are strictly controlled – especially regarding bodily autonomy.
• Rick and Morty (2013-Present) [Animated Sci-Fi] - Rick and Morty remains one of the smartest sci-fi animated adult series on television, with time travel, alternate Earths, and even a Pickle named Rick.

• Sherlock (2010-2017) [Mystery Thriller] - Originally airing on the BBC between 2010 and 2017, Sherlock stars Benedict Cumberbatch's titular detective alongside Martin Freeman as his incredibly reluctant sidekick, Watson, in a unique take on Sherlock Holmes set in present-day London.
