As filming continues on the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, Hewitt took to Instagram to share a new video from the set. While she cannot be seen directly on-screen in the video, the clip sees someone use a clapper board for the movie that seemingly affirms the reboot's title, all while set to a rendition of Julie James' theme. Could A Shorter On-Set Presence Hint At A Terrible End?

With no further comments from the cast or crew on the current status of I Know What You Did Last Summer's reboot, Hewitt's post suggests that the star has wrapped up her involvement earlier than most of the cast. While the order of filming doesn't necessarily determine how a movie will unfold, Hewitt resolving her involvement so soon could suggest that she may not last long as the movie's mystery unfolds. However, there are alternatives to explain her involvement, later casting, and potential early wrap.

While a shorter filming presence could hint that Julie is set to suffer a rather unfortunate fate or potentially even act as an inciting death for the movie, it could also suggest that she may not come into play until the later events of the movie's runtime, where she and Ray arrive to help the new cast survive their own encounters with a killer who knows too much, or perhaps play a less direct role, while Ray takes on a more involved part. However, given the original and second movies' endings, Julie and Ray may still be the subject of a third killer cliffhanger ending.
