Meanwhile, her significant other is downstairs, watching lights mysteriously turn on and off outside their home. He is then stabbed by a harpoon-style weapon before the mysterious assailant's ominous hook is revealed. After his death, the scene cuts forward to a group of young Southport residents that wonder if this is karma for what they did last summer, and they meet up with Hewitt and Prinze Jr. for help along the way.
