Josh Peck will be making a guest appearance in the season of the Paramount+ reboot of The original iCarly series was created by Dan Schneider and spanned six seasons on Nickelodeon from 2007 to 2012 before Paramount+ launched the revival in June 2021. Schneider was also the mind behind Nickelodeon’s early 2000s hit Drake & Josh, which starred Drake Bell and Peck, along with Miranda Cosgrove, who went on to play Carly Shay in both the original iCarly and reboot series.
Now, Peck will be making a guest appearance in the season of iCarly. Peck has been cast as Carly’s belligerent manager, Paul, who starts off on the wrong foot with Freddie when Paul’s “ambitious” managing methods interfere with the group’s dynamic. In typically Carly fashion, she will attempt to make both sides happy while she’s unfortunately stuck in the middle of the two. Peck's season 2 episode does not have a confirmed premiere date as of yet. He had the following to say about his reunion with Cosgrove:
Miranda is a good friend of mine, and when they announced the new iCarly, we chatted about finding something fun for me to play. Being on the iCarly set after all these years feels very full circle and I love getting to work with Miranda, Nathan [Kress] and Jerry [Trainor] again. I'm excited to be able to be a part of what they're creating.
The rebooted iCarly series was originally made to be more of a kid’s show like its predecessor. As the show has evolved and grown, some of the audience has right along with it, while other generations are watching along as well, experiencing the craziness and humor that follows Carly for the very first time. The Peck and Cosgrove onscreen reunion in the iCarly revival series is full of Nickelodeon nostalgia and is sure to be a match-up viewers don’t want to miss.
