Summary
- Thor is facing Toranos - an Elder God who has a greater control over the storm.
- To fight back, he teleports an iconic X-Men hero across the universe to help him, as Marvel's narration reveals that while they can't ignore the summons yet, one day they'll have power to equal the All-Father.
- Sins of Sinister revealed this hero's true power - enough to reshape time and reality.
As X-Men hero for help, Marvel its that while they're not quite there yet, their innate magic will one day be enough to match the God of Thunder. That's even bigger news than it seems, since this isn't the young, headstrong Thor, but the newly crowned King of Asgard, now using the All-Power and containing all the magic might of his predecessor, Odin.
In Al Ewing, Martin Cóccolo, Matt Wilson and Joe Sabino's The Immortal Thor #4, Thor summons the X-Men's take on the Utgard-God Toranos, and has recruited Storm for aid, shockingly referring to her last issue as "the Goddess of Thunder."
However, Storm isn't exactly happy to be torn away from a war for the fate of the solar system. The narration notes that the magic within her is not powerful enough to resist Thor's summons, but ominously notes "not yet." Losing her temper with Thor when he refuses to send her back, Storm hits him with a bolt of lightning, delivering enough power that even the God of Thunder lets out a tiny, "Ow." When Thor redirects Storm's lightning, she instead attacks by manipulating atmospheric pressure, actually drawing blood from her godly opponent.
Storm's war for Mars is taking place over in Marvel's X-Men Red, where she's currently fighting a losing battle in the apocalyptic Genesis War.

"Tormod the Keen Edge": Thor Officially Forges a New Legendary Weapon To Do What Mjolnir Can't
Using his All-Power as the ruler of Asgard, Thor just forged a mythic new weapon that opens up new abilities Mjolnir doesn't possess.
X-Men's Storm Has Huge Untapped Potential
Thor Even Calls Her 'The Goddess of Thunder'
In the Immortal Thor, Thor has been facing off against the Utgard-Gods. These beings are to the gods of Asgard as Thor's people are to mortals, and Toranos is effectively the 'original' Thor - the larger idea of which Thor is a weaker, more individual 'shadow.' At the same time, Loki has once against declared themself Thor's enemy, however his sibling is clearly playing a larger game, and has been 'torturing' Thor in ways which prepare him for the battle ahead. Now, it seems the lesson Thor needs to learn is that he can't succeed alone.
X-Men's Storm Has Always Been a Goddess, But Not She's Living Up to It
Sins of Sinister Revealed What She Could Become
While Storm's control over the weather is due to her mutant gene, she's also a literal goddess, and was worshiped in Kenya before being recruited by Charles Xavier. Storm has since taken up this mantle again, and has risen to a leadership position on Arakko (formerly Mars), becoming the Voice of Sol - the diplomatic representative of the entire solar system. Fans got to see her full potential in the recent Sins of Sinister event, where she was reborn as an elemental force (as shown in Storm & The Brotherhood Of Mutants.) While that timeline has since been averted, it showed that the narration here isn't over-promising - Storm's inherent magic powers can elevate her to the same level as Odin and Thor in future.
Storm once got her own Mjolnir-style hammer, Stormcaster, and transformed into an Asgardian God. However, after realizing Loki was pulling her strings, Storm gave up these powers, only wielding Stormchaser a few times since.
As Storm's powers literally draw blood from a god, it's a major bombshell that Ororo Munroe could one day be All-Father Thor's equal, and that the X-Men's stalwart 'weather witch' is actually closer to a creator god than a superhero.
The Immortal Thor #4 is out now from Marvel Comics.
