In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, The Cloud Atlas Mystery will have Indiana Jones searching for clues at the Nazi weather station in order to crack the code for a locked chest found inside. Locked chests with combinations can be found throughout the game, and will only be able to be unlocked by solving the corresponding puzzle. Typically, this puzzle comes in the form of a cipher, in which the combination has been translated through a code that must be deciphered.

The Cloud Atlas Mystery is located in Gizeh, the third location of the game. In order to begin working on the solution to this mystery, Indy will have to first locate the locked chest in order to search the surrounding area for clues. These clues are usually documents and notes that will provide you with the pieces of the puzzle, which come together to form a concrete solution.

How To Start The Cloud Atlas Mystery

Find The Weather Station

To find the Weather Station in Gizeh, head to the west of the Sphinx Excavation Site, which is near the location of the Haunting Mystery. Following the large metal pipe will lead you straight to the Weather Station, but approach carefully, as there are Nazi soldiers standing guard.

Crouch and sneak towards the station, grabbing an improvised weapon on the way in order to take out the Nazi Commander. I recommend approaching the Weather Station by the "Achtung!" sign to the north, as this will give Indiana a better vantage point.

Take out the Nazi Commander first, as he has a whistle that can be used to call for reinforcements.

Once the Nazi Commander is down, you can proceed into the station and take out the soldier on the other side. Make sure to hide their bodies to prevent any search parties from investigating. Once the soldiers have been dealt with, head back into the Weather Station and find the locked chest, which will initiate the Cloud Atlas Mystery.

How To Crack The Chest Code

Check Cloud Atlas & Cloud Status

In order to solve the Cloud Atlas Mystery, head into the room opposite the chest and look for documents titled 'Cloud Atlas Page' and 'Cloud Status Logbook'. These items contain the solution to the chest's combination in the form of a cipher, similar to mysteries found in The Vatican City. In order to crack the code, you must take the times written at the bottom of the Cloud Atlas Page and reference them back to the Cloud Status Logbook to determine the correct clouds. The times written are 13, 09, 16, and 14.

When looking back at the Cloud Status Logbook, these times translate to 13 being Cirrus, 09 being Stratus, 16 being Cirrus, and 14 being Cumulonimbus. Now that you know what clouds to look for, reference the Cloud Atlas Page to determine what numbers match up with these clouds. Cirrus is 0, Stratus is 6, Cirrus is 0, and Cumulonimbus is 9, which means the correct code to unlock the chest is 0609.

With the code in hand, return to the chest and input the number into the lock. The chest will open, and inside. you can loot money as well as the Gizeh Medicine exploration book, which will show the locations of all the medicine bottles on the map in Gizeh. Unfortunately, there are no Adventure Books to be found here, but one can be found at the end of the Fortune's Reach Mystery.
