The "Soaring Above The Starry Sky" side quest in Infinity Nikki seems easy enough, but one bit at the end makes it tricky to complete successfully. You can only complete this quest once you've done "Attention! Faewish Sprite Spotted" This is the fourth main story quest in the Abandoned District section of the game and the final one in Chapter Four.

Once you complete "Attention! Faewish Sprite Spotted," the quest will unlock automatically. By this point, you'll be familiar with repairing the various Sky and flowers in the Abandoned District, and the "Soaring Above the Starry Sky" quest is just a quick flight away. You can actually begin the quest in two different places, but talking to Elron in Stoneville allows you to get the whole picture.

How To Complete Soaring Above The Starry Sky

Begin By Talking To Elron, Then Pinny In The Abandoned District

Oddly, you can begin this quest by talking to Elron in Stoneville or Pinny in the Abandoned District, but either way, you should head back to Stoneville to get started. He'll mention wanting to get a package to a Piecey, Pinny, in the Abandoned District and ask for Nikki's help delivering it. You can use the newly-unlocked Mirth Market Sky or the Stellar Fishing Ground Warp Spire to reach Pinny.

Infinity Nikki Announces First Major Event, New Outfits Revealed In Trailer

Beautiful open-world title Infinity Nikki has just announced its first major event, which features celebrations and potential new outfits.

You can find her right next to the Warp Spire, and she'll send you to Lenise, another Piecey who wishes to see an Astral Swan fly as his last wish. Lenise is west of Pinny's location, and you'll need to head to the bottom of the Stonetree you're on to find him in the ruins of an old house. Pinny will tell Nikki that the best way to help Lenise get his wish is by grooming the Astral Swan first, then flying with it. To find the Astral Swan, head back to the Stellar Fishing Ground Warp Spire.

Groom The Astral Swan, Then Glide

The Astral Swan will show up easily once you warp. From the Stellar Fishing Ground, head southwest towards Crescent Pond. You'll see the Swan fly overhead, then land in a field nearby in a cutscene. You can walk up to it using your Animal Grooming outfit, groom it, and get one Astral Feather crafting material.

Once you've groomed the Swan for the day, you can walk to the edge of the cliff and trigger a special event. This is where things get tricky, as mes here means you'll need to restart the whole special event sequence again. Once you walk up to the Swan, you'll need to swap to your Floral Gliding Outfit while you're still on the ground.

The Floral Gliding outfit is just one of many Ability Outfits that help Nikki on her journey through Miraland.

Normally, you can only use this outfit in Skyes or after being boosted into the air by an updraft, so it's not obvious that this is what you should do. There's also no button prompt (or, rather, there wasn't one for me) to indicate what to do. Press the Ability Outfit button, which is right-click on PC, while you're still on the ground next to the Astral Swan to begin the gliding sequence.

As you glide, dialogue triggers will happen; if you miss one by flying out of bounds, the sequence will mess up, and you'll need to start over. Pay attention while you fly and press the button prompt for "soar" when you see it on your screen to continue the sequence as intended. Try not to "steer" while you fly, as this can take you too far out of the bounds of the conversation and mess up the sequence as well.

You can tell you've drifted too far and messed up the flying sequence if you see the gliding stamina bar appear next to Nikki on-screen.

Once the flight is completed successfully, return to Pinny on the Stellar Fishing Ground Trail. She'll sadly tell you that Lensie has ed and ask you to return to Stoneville to let Elron know. Head to the Dye Workshop Stonetree Warp Spire to find him again.

Once you chat with Elron and tell him everything that happened, the quest will be complete. You'll receive 400 Mira EXP, 30 Diamonds, 15k Bling, 50 Threads of Purity, and a Sketch for Galaxy's Desire. Doing side quests is just one of the ways you can earn Diamonds for free, and it's also an excellent way to learn more about Miraland and its inhabitants. Overall, "Soaring Across the Starry Sky" isn't the most complex quest in Infinity Nikki, but it is one of the most particular in of completing it properly.
