Instagram has introduced the functionality for groups of s to run Group Fundraisers together on its platform. It was already possible for an individual to run a fundraising campaign on Instagram, but the new feature will make it easier for friends and family to raise money for a cause.

It's been possible for Instagram s to fundraise for charities by raise money for a cause to do with themselves or someone else.

Now, as reported by Social Media Today, Instagram is making it possible for several people to run a fundraising campaign together on the app. Instagram is quoted as saying that fundraising is often a group activity, such as with walk-a-thons, bake sales, and concerts. The new functionality is apparently intended to foster this same sense of community for fundraising — hopefully increasing the amount of money raised as a result. Funds raised via the new feature are said to go to the cause in full, with no cut being taken by Instagram.

To create a Group Fundraiser on Instagram, s simply need to create a Fundraiser in the usual way by navigating to their profile, tapping 'Edit Profile,' then 'Add Fundraiser,' and finally 'Raise Money.' After adding some additional details, s can then visit their fundraising page and tap the ellipsis button that looks like three dots in a row in the top right corner.

From the menu, s should then tap the 'Invite to Group Fundraiser' option. Here, they can browse or search for other Instagram s, tapping the 'Invite' button next to the names to invite them to be a co- of the fundraising campaign. Those invited will have the option to accept or not. Assuming they do, they will be given access to the various istrative tools for the campaign as the person who set it up.

In addition to viewing information about how the fundraiser is going, s can edit its details, extend the fundraiser for 30 days if more time is needed, or end the fundraiser early with the money raised still going to the cause. Fundraisers can also be deleted, with undeposited donations being refunded.
