processors are finally available to purchase at online and offline stores across the U.S. Intel announced its Raptor Lake Us in late September as an upgrade over the Alder Lake lineup announced late last year. The new series includes six different SKUs at launch, led by the Core i9-13900K and Core i9-13900KF. The other chips in the lineup include the Core i7-13700K, Core i7-13700KF, Core i5-13600K, and Core i5-13600KF.
Intel's announcement came a few weeks after AMD unveiled its own next-gen U lineup that includes four SKUs aimed at the gaming and enthusiast market. The Ryzen 7000 lineup is led by the top-end Ryzen 9 7950X with 16 cores and 32 threads, and includes the 12-core, 24-thread Ryzen 9 7900X; the 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 7700X; and the 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 7600X. AMD's new processors went on sale in late September alongside a slew of AM5 motherboards from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock and other vendors.
Intel's latest processors are available at a number of leading retailers, including Newegg, B&H, Amazon, Best Buy, AntOnline, and Microcenter. However, in most cases, the list prices are higher than the official MSRPs. The Core i9-13900K, which has a $589 MSRP, is available for $659.99 at most retailers, while the Core i7-13700K ($409 MSRP) is listed at $399.99 at Microcenter, $449.99 on Newegg and $439.99 at B&H. As for the Core i5-13600K, it is listed at $299.99 at Microcenter, and at $329.99 on Newegg and B&H.
Intel Raptor Lake Specs
Intel's 13th-gen Core Raptor Lake Us come with a hybrid core design like their predecessors, featuring a mix of performance-oriented Raptor Cove cores and efficiency-oriented Gracemont cores. While the Raptor Cove architecture is all-new and an upgrade over the Golden Cove cores in the Alder Lake chips, the Gracemont efficiency cores are carried over from Alder Lake, but with minor improvements.
In of specs, the Raptor Lake lineup is led by the Core i9-13900K, which features 24 cores, including eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. The chip also has 32 threads and a 5.8GHz maximum boost clock. Next, there's the 16-core, 24-thread Core i7-13700K with eight performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and a 5.4GHz maximum boost clock. Finally, Intel's Raptor Lake lineup includes the 14-core, 20-thread Core i5-13600K that packs six performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and has a maximum boost clock of 5.1GHz.
