Also, Daniel Wu will be appearing in Caught in Time, a Chinese heist movie about a detective tasked with hunting down a dangerous gang of criminals. Wu has top billing in the film, and based on the teaser trailer, it would seem that Wu is portraying one of the gangsters. The film is expected to be released in Hong Kong and China at some point in 2020.

Wu's role in Caught in Time is a bit of a return to the actor's roots. In the late 1990s and 2000s, Wu built his career on starring roles in a long list of Hong Kong and Chinese movies. His biggest being 2007's Protégé, which he made with the celebrated Hong Kong director, Derek Yee, with whom he has worked with in multiple films. During his career making Hong Kong and Chinese movies, Wu also acted work with big names in the industry like Jackie Chan. It's not clear what Wu will do next after Into the Badlands or if he will return to the martial arts genre, but if Reminiscence and Caught in Time are any indication, Wu may continue making movies in Hollywood and China.
