The Invasion season 2 cast returns to Apple TV+ with a new season of the alien invasion sci-fi series. The first season ended with humans believing they had won the battle with the alien invaders when they thought they short-circuited their power source. However, there is more to the aliens' power than that and the alien forces have more psychic power than anyone expected. They also still have a lot of firepower, which was shown in the Invasion season 2 premiere when they launched a full-scale attack once again, relaunching the war.
When it comes to the Invasion season 2 cast, it mostly includes most of the major characters from the first season of Invasion. This includes characters who had seemingly died in the first season. At least one is returning, still alive although changed, and there are other cases where dead characters return in other forms thanks to the alien technology attempting to drive humanity to surrender. There is no word yet on whether there will be an Invasion season 3 on Apple TV+, but this season looks bigger than ever, and that also includes introducing some new characters into the story this time around.
Golshifteh Farahani as Aneesha
Golshifteh Farahani plays Aneesha in the Invasion season 2 cast. Aneesha is a mother who is doing everything she can during the alien invasion to keep her kids safe. At the end of season 1, Aneesha had kept her kids safe, but when she heard the invasion had ended, she didn't believe it was really over with yet. Farahani was born in Iran and got her start as a child actor thanks to her father being a theater director and actor. Her biggest break came in 2009 when she starred in About Elly, which won Best Picture that year at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Golshifteh Farahani was soon exiled from Iran and banned from returning to work there in 2009 thanks to her role in the Ridley Scott movie Body of Lies, where she appeared in the movie without wearing a hijab. She moved to and has continued to work in some high-profile movies. She appeared as Lauren in Jim Jarmusch's Paterson with Adam Driver, as the sea witch Shansa in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and as Nik Khan in the Netflix action movie Extraction.
Shamier Anderson as Trevante
Shamier Anderson's Invasion season 2 character is Trevante. He is a former soldier haunted by his past and struggling to understand the alien invasion happening around him. In the first season, he ended up protecting Casper and even killed an alien. In the end, he went home after the invasion ended to reconcile with his wife, only to find that the invasion wasn't really over with at all. Anderson is a Canadian actor who got his start in 2010. His younger brother, Stephan James, is also an actor and appeared as Jesse Owens in the 2016 sports movie Race.
Shamier Anderson has appeared in some high-profile movies over his career. He was Mr. Nobody in John Wick: Chapter 4, the tracker who was trying to kill Wick, only to work as an ally with him in the end. He also has a role in the 2023 MCU movie The Marvels. On TV, he appeared as Anton in Goliath, was Xavier Dolls in the first three seasons of Wynonna Earp, and played the main role of Chris in The Next Step.
Shioli Kutsana as Mitsuki
Shioli Kutsana s the cast of Invasion season 2 as Mitsuki., a communications specialist and a former space agency employee in Japan. She is out for revenge at the start when her lover Hinata is killed, but she ends up taking an interesting turn when she sends thousands of files to the aliens trying to learn if her lover is still alive and then ends up attempting again at the end after the world thinks the invasion has ended. She will play a major role in Invasion season 2. Kutsuna was born in Australia and moved to Japan when she was 14 to pursue an acting career.
Shioli Kutsana had her first major starring role when she was 16 in the Japanese movie 7 Mannin Tantei Nitobe. She also played Rhan Mori in the live-action version of Detective Conan. Most American fans should recognize her as Yukio, one of the X-Men in Deadpool 2. She also appeared in the Adam Sandler comedy Murder Mystery and will return to Deadpool 3.
Billy Barratt as Caspar
Billy Barratt plays Caspar in the Invasion season 2 cast. Caspar is a young teen who can connect with the aliens mentally. Caspar realized at the end of the first season after recovering from a seizure that he could understand his connection, and it allowed him to help stop them. However, Caspar died in this sacrifice. There was a twist in the finale where Caspar was in the morgue, but his subconscious mind was still active.
A 16-year-old actor from London, Billy Barratt has limited roles in his career. He appeared in the 2017 movie Sharknado 5: Global Swarming when he was only 10. He was also in the TV movie Responsible Child as Ray, Mary Poppins Returns as a street urchin, and Blinded by the Light as a 10-year-old version of Matt. He starred in the 2023 Disney movie Crater as Dylan and will also appear in the My Spy sequel with Dave Bautista.
Azhy Robertson as Luke Malik
Azhy Robertson's Invasion season 2 character is Luke Malik., one of Aneesha's kids. At the end of the first season, he mourned his dad's death and blamed his mother. Azhy Robertson won the Independent Spirit Robert Altman Award for Marriage Story, where he played Henry Barber. He also has several credits under his belt, with appearances in Gossip Girl, The Plot Against America, The Americans, and Law & Order: SVU.
Tara Moayedi as Sarah Malik
Tara Moayedi s the cast of Invasion season 2 as Sarah Malik. Sarah is the youngest of Aneesha's kids. She ends the season mourning her father's death and wondering if the invasion has ended. Tara Moayedi is a 10-year-old child actor who started her career as a fashion model. The Invasion cast is her first acting role.
Daisuke Tsuji as Kaito
Daisuke Tsuji plays Kaito in the Invasion season 2 cast, a scientist with the Japanese space agency. He works alongside Mitsuki and has a competitive relationship with her, although he its she is smarter than he is. He was arrested alongside Mitsuki when they tried to find Hinata's missing shuttle, although she bargained for their freedom. Tsuji was an American born in Kuwait and studied acting at UCLA.
Daisuke Tsuji got his start in the Clint Eastwood movie Letters from Iwo Jima as a cave soldier. However, most of his work has been on TV and in video games. On TV, he has appeared in The Blacklist, The Man in the High Castle, Brockmire, and Love, Death & Robots. He has also voiced roles in the Call of Duty video game franchise and voiced Scorpion and Kuai Liang in Mortal Kombat 1.
India Brown as Jamila
India Brown's Invasion season 2 character is Jamila. Jamila is a girl from Casper's school that he likes, and was with Casper as he was having seizures and stuck with him until his death when he sacrificed himself to save the world. Brown is a British actor from London who got her start modeling when she was just six months old. While she has been acting in stage plays since she was a child, her first TV role came in 2014 in an episode of Birds of a Feather.
India Brown has gone on to appear in the TV movie The Midnight Gang and the miniseries The Stranger before picking up a major role as Lizzie in Hetty Feather. She also starred in the TV series Worzel Gummidge as Susan before picking up her role in the Invasion cast.
Paddy Holland as Monty
Paddy Holland s the cast of Invasion season 2 as Monty. He was a bully of Casper and tormented him in school. However, the first season showed that Monty had a bad home life himself, and he apologized for bullying Casper before they went their separate directions. Paddy Holland is a 17-year-old British actor who had very little experience before the Invasion cast. His only other major role was as Bobby in four episodes of Lockwood & Co.
Enver Gjokaj as Clark
Enver Gjokaj plays Clark in the Invasion season 2 cast. Nothing is known about the character as he is a new character in Invasion season 2. Enver Gjokaj is an American actor from Los Angeles who studied acting at NYU. In 2009, he broke out in the Joss Whedon series Dollhouse as Victor. He also had a main role in the MCY series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. where he played Daniel Sousa, a role he also played in Agent Carter. He also had recurring roles in NCIS: Hawai'i and Resident Alien.
