The following contains spoilers for Invincible season 3 episode 7, "What Have I Done?," now streaming on Prime VideoInvincible's characters as they struggle to withstand the assault.
Although some heroes like Spawn and Witchblade were present for the original comic event due to their shared Image Comics Universe, Invincible season 3 episode 7 "What Have I Done?" brings together all the currently active heroes across Invincible's world. While people like Cecil direct the charge from afar, the heroes do their best to hold back the villainous variants of Mark Grayson — with several of them dying in the process. In the aftermath of the Invincible War and heading into the Invincible season 3 finale, here is the current status of each notable superhero in the world.
7 Invincible
Invincible Is Still Standing (And Angrier Than Ever)
Invincible is at the center of the Invincible War and is quietly the main target of the global attack. After barely surviving his previous encounter with Mark, Angstrom strikes at the hero with a group of homicidal variants that can quickly ravage the world. Mark proves the be among the most powerful of the Invincibles, holding his own against several of them with the help of Earth's other heroes. However, he also spends a portion of the fight away from the battlefield after Atom Eve is injured. Mark only reenters the fray when Angstrom appears.

All 18 Evil Mark Graysons In Invincible Season 3 & What Happens To Them
The Invincible War highlighted in Invincible season 3, episode 7 was fought between variants of Mark Grayson, with each meeting a dark fate.
Mark ends the Invincible War in a very somber place. Wracked with guilt over the death toll and destruction that was brought about because of one of his enemies, Mark can't even try to help clean up the destruction without people like Powerplex lashing out at him. Mark's also seemingly embraced his anger, coming close to murdering Angstrom and embracing the chance to vent his fury out against the newly arrived Viltrumite, Conquest. It's a dark look for Mark, and one that could go poorly for the world at large.
6 Kid Omni-Man
Kid Omni-Man Proves He's A Hero (But Still Has Some Dark Impulses)
Mark's brother Oliver proved surprisingly capable during the Invincible War, escaping the chaos without many serious injuries. Despite the fears of his adopted mother, Oliver is able to provide serious help throughout the battle. He initially helps save civilians in the targeted cites, and then works alongside his brother in the conflict against the Mark variants. Oliver is even present for the final battle against Levy, witnessing his defeat and retreat.
Oliver's beliefs seemingly haven't changed though, as he still believes some villains need to be put down despite Mark's insistence on morality.
Kid Omni-Man does have one troubling development in "What Have I Done?." After Mark is able to close the distance between himself and Angstrom, Oliver yells at his brother to kill him before he can use his portals to escape again. Kid Omni-Man has wrestled with lethal force throughout season 3, with Oliver's brutal killing of the Mauler Twins forcing Mark and Debbie to speak to him about morality. Oliver's beliefs seemingly haven't changed though, as he still believes some villains need to be put down despite Mark's insistence on morality.
5 Atom Eve
Why Atom Eve Isn't Present For Most Of The Invincible War
Atom Eve is theoretically one of the most powerful superheroes on the planet, with her control over matter making her a versatile and adaptable hero. Atom Eve initially plays an important role in the Invincible War, flying alongside Mark and contending with the massive destruction that has been wrought across the world. However, Atom is overwhelmed during the fight with a pair of the villainous variants. She gets her leg broken in the scuffle and is knocked unconscious during the fight.
Although Mark is able to get Eve to the Global Defense Agency for medical attention, Eve spends the rest of "What Have I Done?" out of commission. She's unconscious for the rest of the episode. Mark's romance for Eve has quickly escalated, leading him to stay by her side and sit out the second half of the conflict out of fear that she would be targeted and killed by his variants.
4 The Guardians Of The Globe
Darkwing's Sacrifice Saves The Guardians From A Grisly Death
The Guardians of the Globe are the most prolific superheroes in the world of Invincible, but they don't play much of a role in the Invincible War due to one of the Invincible variants (dubbed Nogogglesible) specifically targeting them in their base. The battle is a brutal one for the heroes, with the group barely surviving the encounter. Black Samson is knocked out and dozens of copies of Dupli-Kate are slain, but both characters are shown later picking themselves back up.
The Guardians' battle against Nogogglesible is framed in a very similar fashion to Omni-Man's slaughter of the previous iteration of the Guardians of the Globe, with Immortal dispatched the same way both times and Darkwing II only barely escaping the fate of his predecessor.
Shapesmith and the Immortal receive far more brutal injuries, but their unique power sets and enhanced durability allows them to survive. The only potential casualty of the battle is Darkwing, who seemingly sacrifices himself to drag Nogogglesible into his shadow dimension and away from the others. Since he doesn't return, the Guardians are convinced that Darkwing sacrificed himself to stop the evil variant, although his lack of on-screen death means Darkwing could eventually return (as his comics counterpart eventually did).
3 Teen Team
Rex Saves The Rest Of The Team (But Dies In The Process)
The younger of the Guardians broke off from the team after Cecil's feud with Invincible exploded early in season 3. Like the Guardians, they were targeted by the Invincible variant dubbed Retro Invincible. Similar to the battle with the Guardians, the heroes were quickly overwhelmed despite putting up a good fight against the villain. However, while Darkwing's sacrifice to stop Nogogglesible had a level of ambiguity to it, there's no question what happens after Rex pulls a similar move.

Invincible's Sweetest Season 3 Romance Quietly Sets Up A Major Hero Death
Invincible's sweetest romance subplot in season 3 reaches a surprisingly heartbreaking turn in episode 6 that foreshadows a major death.
While Bulletproof is able to save Robot and Monster Girl, Rex remains behind to cover their escape. With no other options, Rex ultimately detonates his own skeleton, turning himself into a bomb that successfully kills Retro Invincible. Tragically, Rex's love interest Rae arrives on the scene just in time to see the aftermath of his sacrifice, having retired from superheroics the previous episode. Notably, Monster Girl is also severely injured in the battle and, like Atom Eve, left in the hospital by the attack.
2 The Minor Heroes Who Don't Survive The Invincible War
Half A Dozen Minor Heroes Are Killed During The Conflict
Throughout "What Have I Done?," many minor heroes from the grander world of Invincible appear as the forces working to fight back against the villainous variants. Sadly, several of them don't survive the experience. Although many of their deaths aren't actively shown on screen, montages of the world at large throughout the episode highlight how many heroes died fighting the evil Invincibles.
Some of them had appeared previously in the show as potential candidates for the new Guardians of the Globe, like the Hunk and Shrapnel. Others, like Business Baby, British Knight, and a number of unnamed heroes give their lives in the battle. These moments are tragic in their own way, such as Hunk dying alone in the desert or Shrapnel's body being cradled by one of her sobbing teammates. It underscores the unseen cost of the conflict and showcases how many people died fighting the villains.
1 The Minor Heroes Who Are Still Alive After The Invincible War
There Are More Surviving Heroes Than Casualties During The Invincible War
The events of "What Have I Done?" also served as an easy way for Invincible to establish just how many other heroes are left on the planet. Among the heroes who hold their own against Invincible variants are Wolf-Man, Best Tiger, Cast Iron, and Tech Jacket, with the latter even dispatching one of the variants on their own in space. Other heroes are seen working together to combat the danger, such as Throwbolt, Burly, Kid Thor, Knockout, and Bolt.
Several of the heroes who survive the Invincible War become more prominent in the comics following the "Invincible War" storyline. Knockout and Kid Thor have already been teased as potential future of the Guardians of the Globe, as seen by their variants who appear in season 2.
While most of the costumed villains remain unseen throughout the episode, Powerplex throws himself at the chance to kill Invincible multiple times and even succeeds in bringing down one of the variants. Commanding the heroic forces alongside Cecil and Donald is the Brit, who becomes an important leader for the hero community in the Invincible comic and will likely play a major role in the show going forward. While countless people die during the events of "What Have I Done?," Invincible's hero community remains resilient.
