She is currently single and hopefully working on getting her three kids back after they were taken by Child Protective Services when she was 34. It's possible that My 600-lb Life fans could see Irene on a future episode of My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now? But she has largely stayed out of the public eye since her time on the show, so it is unlikely.

Irene is motivated to get her kids back and understands that she is hurting herself with her behavior, so she was making progress on My 600-Lb Life. It is unclear whether Irene has gotten herself in a position to have her kids back in her care.

My 600-lb Life season 9 episode was featured on the show in March 2021, which means her segment was likely filmed in 2020, so it has been four years since her appearance on reality TV.

Irene has a presence on both Instagram and Facebook, and she does post semi-regularly. She is not one of those My 600-lb Life alums, however, that share updates on their living situations, the habits they are keeping, or their goals for the future. Judging by her Facebook profile, Irene is single and living in Houston, Texas, where she is from. In her Facebook banner, Irene has a collage of pictures of her with her kids, although it's hard to tell when it is from and whether her kids are presently back in her life.
