Currently, Iron Man is dead in the MCU, but it doesn't mean that he can never come back. There are several ways to make Stark’s return to the franchise possible. The introduction of the multiverse and the existence of variants make it easier to do this. Besides that, the MCU has also found ways to undo multiple deaths over the years to serve its storytelling. Given this precedence, they can surely find a way to bring back Iron Man to the franchise if a narrative needs his presence. For now, however, it may not be in the cards just yet. According to Spider-Man: No Way Home writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, resurrecting the character is currently a non-starter over at Marvel Studios.

Marvel Studios may not be keen on bringing back Stark now that the MCU is moving forward with Ironheart. Beyond that, his whole arc - from his origins in Iron Man to his end in Avengers: Endgame - is the gold standard when developing the next generation of heroes in the franchise.
