Most of Ironheart’s cast will be making their MCU debut with this series. Grown-ish and Dear White People director Sam Bailey will direct the first three episodes, while Atlanta director Angela Barnes will take on the last three. Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler will be a producer on the series. Currently slated for a 2025 premiere, here is everyone who is confirmed to star in this series.

Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart

Dominique Thorne Is 26 Years Old

Dominique Thorne’s Riri was introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as a genius young inventor who helped the Wakandans fight the Talokanil. Having to leave her vibranium-enhanced suit in Wakanda, the Ironheart series will likely follow Riri as she works to create a new one. Already having a taste of the superhero life, Riri will have to prove herself as the MCU’s Iron Man replacement. Although the series will not be Thorne’s first MCU appearance, she is still a relatively new face to the universe. Thorne has previously had roles in the films If Beale Street Could Talk and Judas and the Black Messiah.

Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins/The Hood

Anthony Ramos Is 32 Years Old

Anthony Ramos was confirmed to the series in 2022 as Parker Robbins. Parker is originally a criminal in New York City but gains superpowers after obtaining a hood enhanced with magic and dark arts. Although considered a villain in the comics, he will be an ally of Riri’s in the show. Though new to the MCU, Ramos has experience both on screen and on stage. He is best known for his dual roles in the original Hamilton show, for which he earned an Emmy nomination for the musical’s live stage recording. He has since appeared in A Star Is Born, the film version of In The Heights, and the film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Anji White as Ronnie Williams

Anji White was revealed in June 2023 report from Deadline to be playing the role of Ronnie Williams in MCU's Ironheart show, which is a significant role given Ronnie is Riri Williams' mother. In the comics, Ronnie plays a substantial role in Ironheart's origin story, as her concerns about her daughter becoming a superhero provide another core story and conflict for Riri to overcome during her journey.

Anji White is best known for her role in Fargo as Dibrell Smutny, who plays a notable role in season 4 of the crime drama. That said, the actor has also appeared in other series like Chicago P.D., The Chi, and 4400. With a range of performances under her belt, White's MCU debut is set to be a promising one that balances out Riri's superhero adventures with her family and home life.

Lyric Ross as Natalie Washington

Lyric Ross Is 20 Years Old

Confirmed to play Riri’s best friend, Lyric Ross will likely be playing Riri’s neighbor Natalie Washington from the comics. The two originally meet when they are children with Natalie taking interest in Riri’s inventing. Becoming close friends, Natalie is killed by a stray bullet in the same drive-by shooting that kills Riri’s step-father. While her fate is unknown in the Ironheart series, Natalie’s friendship with Riri will likely play a huge role in building her reputation as Ironheart. Ross is best known for her role as Deja Pearson on This Is Us, and also having a guest-starring role on Chicago Fire.

Jim Rash as the Dean of MIT

Jim Rash Is 52 Years Old

Jim Rash will be reprising his role from Captain America: Civil War as the Dean of M.I.T. who approaches Tony after his presentation. Rash is most famously known for his role as another dean, Dean Craig Pelton on Community, for which he earned a Critics’ Choice award nomination. He has voiced characters in various animated series like DuckTales and Star Wars Resistance and currently voices The Riddler on Harley Quinn. Rash also wrote the Academy Award-winning screenplay for The Descendants.

Alden Ehrenreich

Alden Ehrenreich Is 34 Years Old

Cast in a mysterious key role, Alden Ehrenreich told Uproxx that his Ironheart character is one that the MCU is already a bit familiar with. Ehrenreich may be making his MCU debut, but he is no stranger to blockbuster franchises with his role as young Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story. He most recently starred in Cocaine Bear and the highly esteemed Oppenheimer biopic.

Matthew Elam

Matthew Elam Is 32 Years Old

Another member of Fargo's cast entering the MCU is that of Matthew Elam, who played Lamuel Cannon in season 4 of the hit series. Elam also appeared in 61st Street as TJ, and in The Sopranos prequel The Many Saints Of Newark. The actor's range of performances set up a hopeful future for him in the MCU, with rumors and speculation regarding his role suggesting he could also play a notable role when it comes to Riri' story in Ironheart. Indeed, Elam's prospective role may even reveal what part of the Marvel comics run the MCU may actually be adapting.

Rumors suggest Elam could be playing the role of a character known as Xavier Washington, who may be the MCU equivalent of Xavier King, Riri's neighbor in the comics who is with her when she encounters Iron Maiden. While this could be a prospective tease of what is to come in the franchise, nothing is confirmed at the current time, and Elam could well prove to be another character entirely given the wide range of prospective existing Marvel comic figures to choose from.

Sacha Baron Cohen

Sacha Baron Cohen Is 52 Years Old

The announcement that Sacha Baron Cohen would be playing a role in the 2025 Ironheart series reignited one of the most long-lasting villain theories in the MCU, as it's rumored that the actor will be appearing as none other than Mephisto. The devilish Marvel trickster would be a fitting character for Cohen to take on given his own career involves convincing people his various disguises are in fact real figures, and his history in the comedy genre would be sure to add a lightness that the otherwise harrowing villain needs.

However, Sacha Baron Cohen's more serious performances in the likes of Les Misérables and The Trial of The Chicago 7 demonstrates that he'd be more than capable of pulling off a less comedy-leaning MCU character should the need arise for it. As such, there is also a real chance that the current MCU Mephisto rumors are unfounded, and that Cohen will instead have a role that aligns closer and more easily with Ironheart's Marvel lore.

Manny Montana

Manny Montana Is 40 Years Old

Manny Montana was confirmed as an Ironheart series regular in 2022. He has previously starred in the crime-comedy Good Girls and had a small role in Westworld. Montana also did voice and performance for a small role in the video game L.A. Noire - experience that could be capitalized on by the MCU going forward.

Shea Couleé

Shea Couleé Is 35 Years Old

Shea Couleé is best known for competing in multiple seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race, notably winning All Stars 5. Their role in Ironheart is unconfirmed but as the first drag queen in the MCU, they could be playing Shade. Also known as Darnell Wade, Shade is Marvel’s first drag queen superhero mutant.

Zoe Terakes

Zoe Terakes Is 24 Years Old

Starring in a key role, Zoe Terakes will be the MCU’s first trans actor. They previously had a recurring role in the Australian drama Wentworth and a ing role in the miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers.

Shakira Barrera

Shakira Barrera Is 34 Years Old

Shakira Barrera will have a main role in Ironheart, but it will not be her MCU debut. She had a small role as Agent King in Agents of SHIELD, but this role will likely be different. Barrera is known for her role in GLOW’s second season.

Harper Anthony

Harper Anthony Is 11 Years Old

Making his MCU debut, Harper Anthony has previously had small roles in Chicago Med and the City of Vultures movies.

ing & Other Characters

Cree Summer - With Cree Summer’s extensive background in voice roles, she could be playing a JARVIS-esque artificial intelligence for Riri’s Ironheart suit. Summer most notably voiced Suzie Carmichael in Rugrats and Elmyra Duff in Tiny Toon Adventures.

Regan Aliyah - Regan Aliyah has had experience as a choreographer and singer performing on the Disney channel. She had roles on the shows BF for Hire and XO, Kitty before landing her Ironheart role.

Rashida "Sheedz" Olayiwola - Rashida Olayiwola is a stand-up comedian who is currently a staff writer for the show South Side. While her Ironheart role is undisclosed, she will likely play a comedic relief of some sort.

Sonia Denis - Sonia Denis is another stand-up comedian who will be making her MCU debut in Ironheart. She was a writer for A Black Lady Sketch Show and had a small role in the Netflix rom-com Set It Up.

Paul Calderón - Paul Calderón got his start in theater and is a founding member of groups like Touchstone Theatre and LAByrinth Theater Company. Prior to Ironheart, he has had recurring roles in shows like Boardwalk Empire and Fear The Walking Dead.
