With countless new movies postponed and movie theaters closed, Gunn's list is a fun way to revisit old favorites while quarantining. His sequel list is, of course, up for debate, but that's what makes movie watching such fun. It's not just about the story, the characters, or the cool visual effects. What enhances the movie-watching experience are the debates that spring up afterward: Who was the best character? Did the sequel continue their story satisfactorily? Were the movies engaging enough to want to view the third movie? All in all, a well-crafted sequel builds on a solid foundation of story and character that leaves fans wanting more. Like Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3, for example. (Gunn recently said the third movie has yet to be delayed.)
Fans across the world have likely been disheartened by the lack of blockbuster films that usually go hand in hand with the heat of summer.
