Jensen Ackles confirms his Supernatural stars even reunited on the set of Padalecki's current show, the CW's Walker; Ackles came on board as a director for a recent season 2 episode. This came after the two appeared to have a public feud over the  Supernatural prequel The Winchesters, on which Ackles serves as producer. Padalecki initially seemed betrayed by the idea, but he and Ackles have since publicly reconciled.

Ackles and Padalecki both starred opposite one another on Supernatural for 15 seasons, playing brothers Dean and Sam Winchester, respectively. Attracting over 5.6 million viewers when the pilot first premiered, Supernatural has grown to cult status, having developed a dedicated fanbase which still holds an active online presence. The show is so beloved that the first fan convention took place back in 2006, and more have been held on a near-annual basis ever since. While Supernatural cast regularly attend these conventions, one key star was missing this year, and for good reason.

In a video taken by strgazr04 at the Supernatural New Jersey convention (via E! News), Ackles announces to the audience that Padalecki will not be ing him because the onetime Sam actor was involved in a "very bad car accident." Although Ackles cannot confirm the date of the car crash, the actor did share that Padalecki "wasn't driving," and was in the enger seat at the time of the incident. Fortunately, Ackles is also able to confirm there were "no fatalities" and that Padalecki was "recovering" and doing well. E! News corroborates Ackles' comments regarding Padalecki's current status.

Dean and Sam in heaven

Ackles further adds that he believes Padalecki is "lucky to be alive" after revealing he saw the condition of the vehicle afterwards. Nevertheless, he sends love and to Padalecki, and the Supernatural fanbase has appeared to do the same. They quickly took to social media to send their love and to Padalecki, tweeting the hashtags #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki and #GetWellSoonJared. Padalecki has yet to comment on the incident on social media, which is not surprising as he is still recovering.

This news is likely not what Supernatural fans hoped to hear this weekend, but as Ackles said, there were no fatalities and Padalecki is on the mend. The Walker star has a great deal of ers backing him now, and many are likely waiting to hear more of his recovery with bated breath. For the time being, though, Padalecki will hopefully take things easy as he works himself back up to full health. Furthermore, as Ackles also told the crowd, fans of Supernatural can send their love to their Sam Winchester via social media.
