Over the past couple of decades, Fast & Furious movies, cementing himself as an action star to be reckoned with.
The past several years have seen a successful resurgence for Jason Statham as an action star again, bringing in some of A Working Man (previously titled Levon's Trade) coming out, as well as Mutiny, and the next film in the Fast & Furious franchise.
Jason Statham's Next Movie Reunites Him With 2 Golden Collaborators
The Actioner Has A Proven Formula
Jason Statham's A Working Man will be released on January 17, 2025. The film will be the second-consecutive collaboration with director David Ayer, after starring in The Beekeeper, which was released in January 2024. Besides directing, David Ayer is also the co-writer of A Working Man, alongside film legend Sylvester Stallone. This isn't the first film Statham has been in that is associated with Stallone, as the two of them were featured throughout the Expendables franchise.

The Beekeeper Cast & Character Guide
The Beekeeper boasts an impressive ensemble cast led by Jason Statham, starring as Adam Clay, a former member of the secretive Beekeeper organization.
Statham's collaboration with David Ayer is particularly exciting, though, as The Beekeeper defied all expectations for a January action film, earning solid reviews while also being financially successful. Based on the novel of the same name by author Chuck Dixon, A Working Man looks to draw in much of the same crowd as the film revolved around a construction worker who must use his skillset as an ex-black ops agent to find his boss's daughter, and uncovers a criminal conspiracy along the way.
A Working Man Should Take Jason Statham Past $2 Billion As A Leading Man
The Brit Is About To An Impressive Bracket Of Actors
With the release of A Working Man, Jason Statham could cross the $2 billion box office mark as a leading man, as his tally currently sits at about $1.946 billion. For Jason Statham to hit that coveted mark, A Working Man will need to make about $54 million worldwide. Nothing is guaranteed, of course, but given the last group of films that starred Statham at the box office, it's most likely A Working Man will be able to reach that mark.
Films like the Fast & Furious franchise are not included in these numbers, given they are ensemble pieces rather than solo outings for Statham.
Even if every Jason Statham movie doesn't make a ton of money, the typical floor for his films is about $35 million, which includes The Transporter, Crank, Safe, Homefront, and others. Statham has seen a decent boost in his box office performances over the past several years. Both of his Meg films have earned at least $390 million, while his recent collaboration with David Ayer in The Beekeeper, earned over $150 million worldwide at the beginning of 2024. If A Working Man can deliver like The Beekeeper did, Jason Statham will certainly hit $2 billion.
