After the immense success of Respawn Entertainment's Emperor Palpatine's Order 66 and is now in hiding. Because of Jedi: Fallen Order's open-ended finale, the sequel could go in a lot of different directions, and Cal could visit any number of new planets.
Now that the plot of the series has moved away from Holocrons, protagonist Cal Kestis has an uncertain future. Perhaps Cal tracks down the Force-sensitive children another way, or maybe his overall goal changes completely. One option is that Cal and and his friends could become mercenaries. Considering the timeline of Jedi: Fallen Order, which takes place five years after Revenge of the Sith and just before Solo, Cal could easily run into some of the same scum and villainy — and planets.
Because Jedi: Fallen Order 2 would likely overlap with Solo, players could see Cal going to snow-covered Vandor or the spice mines of Kessel. Cal may even have a run-in with Dryden Vos and Crimson Dawn on planets like Savareen. Also, because of the timeline, Cal's newest journey could overlap with the beginning of the Rebels TV series. This could mean that Cal visits Lothal, the central planet in the show's narrative.
Jedi Fallen Order 2's Many Potential Settings
Cal's story could take another route, however. Instead of hunting Holocrons and looking to restore the Jedi Order like in the first game, this time around Cal and his friends could take more direct actions against the evil Empire. This could lead them to a number of places associated with the Rebel Alliance, like Yavin 4. If there's more of a time jump in the story, fans could see Cal going to places like Scarif from Rogue One. This could make for some adrenaline-pumping battle scenes and tie stories set before A New Hope more closely together.
However, if Respawn is worried about tying Fallen Order 2 too closely to other Star Wars Battlefront 2. Pillio was an ocean-themed planet with coral formations and large bugs that Luke Skywalker was forced to cut through in droves with his lightsaber. This kind of setting could work perfectly in Fallen Order 2, and since EA is the publisher, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to borrow Pillio's designs.
News of Jedi: Fallen Order 2, which is supposedly already in development, will continue to come out as the game gets closer to an official release date. Typically, planets are one of the first teases when new Star Wars content comes out, so fans eager to learn more about Cal's next moves in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 shouldn't have to wait much longer.
