This month John Turturro will reprise one of his most famous characters in The Big Lebowski. The original stoner crime comedy has captured the hearts of many over the decades, earning its place among other cult classic wonders, and avid bowler Jesus Quintana was just one of many memorable characters who played a role in its strange story.

The Jesus Rolls won’t see Joel and Ethan Coen, who directed the original film in 1998, back behind the camera. Instead Turturro himself will take the reins as both writer and director with the Coen brothers’ blessings, as well as playing the lead role.
