Now that the first Joker movie, one fan decided to imagine what the actor's Joker might look like with the character's signature makeup. The result is stunning, even if there is no indication that Phoenix's character will wear that kind of makeup in the movie.

Although this particular film based on the Joker almost seemed to start out as a rumor, it is now officially in production, with more details getting released every day. The film will follow the story of Phoenix' character, Arthur Fleck, and show how he eventually becomes the Clown Prince of Gotham, the Joker. The plot will probably revolve around the character's early days as a failed comedian and could show how he eventually comes to meet Thomas Wayne. The film will also introduce Sophie Dumond (Zazie Beetz) as a potential love interest for Fleck.

Recently, new photos from the set of the movie landed online, giving Joker fans a lot to discuss. These photos showed Phoenix in the role of Fleck, but without the iconic makeup that fans usually see on the character. Artist BossLogic, though, decided to imagine what Phoenix will look like with makeup and came up with a piece that is seemingly inspired by both Jack Nicholson's take on the character as well as Heath Ledger's.

This Joker movie will not have any connection to the existing DC Extended Universe. The DCEU cast Jared Leto for its Joker, as he first appeared in Suicide Squad. Leto's performance as the character, though, left many fans disappointed, and it seems that those same fans are more excited to see Phoenix's take on the character. Even if fans widely embrace Phoenix as the Joker, though, it is unlikely that the DCEU will recast the role, even with the DCEU seemingly undergoing major changes after rumors suggest that it will lose both its Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill).

Another thing that sets the Phoenix film apart from the DCEU is that it has a relatively low budget. It's the kind of project that Phoenix was always interested in, although he once itted he never considered that the movie he would make would be about the Joker. But it seems that fans are all in with what Phoenix might do with the character, and considering how versatile he is as an actor, many can't wait to see this movie.
