Warning: Contains SPOILERS for X-Men #13! It’s no secret that the X-Men adventure, the Juggernaut proved that he’s even more powerful than fans gave him credit for, confirming that he is Omega Level himself (whether Marvel Comics its it or not).
In a preview for X-Men #13 by Jed MacKay and Netho Diaz, the X-Men want to neutralize Xavier, while the other half is protecting him.
The main X-Men team includes the likes of Cyclops, Juggernaut, Kid Omega, and Psylocke, and they are trying to neutralize Xavier. Cyclops (the leader of the X-Men) still hasn’t forgiven Xavier for his actions on Krakoa, and he certainly will not stand for Xavier being a threat to others because of his haywire powers. However, Storm has remained loyal to Xavier, and is doing everything she can to protect him from her one-time allies. As seen in this preview, Storm is unleashing her full Omega-Level might upon the Juggernaut, and it’s still not enough.
Storm is More Powerful than Ever, but Even That’s Not Enough to Stop the Juggernaut
The Juggernaut Can Withstand the Might of an Eternity-Possessed Storm
At her base level, Ororo Munroe is already an Omega-Level mutant, as her powers can be wielded on a planetary scale with no upward limit. However, recently in Marvel canon, Storm has become even stronger after effectively merging with a cosmic entity: Eternity. Eternity has made Storm its avatar on Earth, dubbing her the ‘Eternal Storm’. In other words, Storm just got a cosmic upgrade - but even that isn’t enough to stop the Juggernaut.
No matter how hard Eternal Storm hits the Juggernaut with her cosmic power, the Juggernaut just keeps getting up. Not only that, but the Juggernaut even says that he’s experienced much worse than what Storm is delivering, hammering home the fact that all her strength simply isn’t enough to take him down. So, what does one call someone who can’t be beaten by an Omega-Level mutant with a cosmic-level upgrade? Well, they’d have to be considered Omega Level themselves, wouldn’t they?
There’s a Tragic Reason Why the Juggernaut is So Strong
Cyttorak isn’t the Only Source of the Juggernaut’s Strength in X-Men Canon
The Juggernaut’s battle against Storm proves that he wields Omega-Level strength, which many will attribute to Cain Marko’s dark alliance with Cyttorak, as the source of the Juggernaut’s power is the Crimson Cosmos. However, this preview makes it clear that Cyttorak isn’t the only source of the Juggernaut’s strength, as Cain Marko says that the abuse he suffered as a child from his father is why he can take such a severe beating and still keep going. It’s a tragic reason, to be sure, but one that makes the Juggernaut much more of a sympathetic underdog - one who is worthy of wielding his ‘Omega-Level’ power.

Juggernaut its the 1 Marvel Weapon That Can Beat Him - Now We Hope No-One Else Figures It Out
The Juggernaut is unstoppable because of the magic that powers him, unless he's attacked with the one weapon that can stop the Unstoppable Juggernaut!
While the Juggernaut isn’t officially Omega Level, this X-Men issue proves that he should be, as only someone with Omega-Level power can withstand that beating and live to keep fighting. Therefore, whether Marvel Comics its it or not, the Juggernaut just proved he is, in fact, Omega Level.
X-Men #13 by Marvel Comics is available March 12, 2025.
