A new piece of fanart sees Superman and the Juggernaut engage in combat, and it begs to see the fight realized in a legit crossover film. After a new trailer teased the Man of Steel's new cinematic adventure, one digital artist used it as an opportunity to showcase a Marvel/DC match that deserves to be seen on the silver screen.

Fans everywhere were waiting patiently to see more shows Superman fighting a hulking opponent in a large robotic suit.

Digital artist Bosslogic took a frame from the trailer and altered it enough so that it looked like Superman was engaging in a fight with X-Men nemesis, the Juggernaut. Bosslogic posted the art on Instagram and s marveled at the idea of actually seeing such a fight.

Who Doesn't Want to See This Fight Come to Life?

Strength is usually relative in comics, but for some characters, there's no question of how powerful certain characters are. In the DC Universe, Superman is undoubtedly the strongest hero around, with his Kryptonian physiology granting him a bevy of godlike powers, including a strength that allows him to take on gods. In the Marvel Universe, on the other hand, there's the Juggernaut, once an average human who practically became unstoppable thanks to the Crimson Gem of Cytorrak. These two characters were so known for their strength, Superman and Juggernaut even tested their powers against one another in a legit crossover.

Of course, Superman and the Juggernaut aren’t meeting anytime soon. James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU is incredibly new and the MCU iteration of the X-Men hasn’t even debuted yet. But in a perfect world, both franchises could take a cue from DC vs. Marvel and actually have a crossover film, and if that happens, why not give the fans what they want? Juggernaut is an unstoppable force, and if anyone would work as his immovable object, it’d be Superman. This art may just be a fantasy, but it’s a nice dream of what could hopefully be one day.

It's Unlikely, But It'd be an Amazing Battle to See

The honest truth is that making crossovers are Herculean efforts, even for comic book publishers, so the chances of a Marvel/DC crossover film are slim-to-none. But that doesn’t mean fans wouldn’t want to see Superman go toe-to-toe with the Juggernaut, nor that it wouldn’t be incredibly awesome to see. These two characters are some of the strongest from their respective universes and as cool as it was to see them fight years ago in comics, a film could truly do their fight justice. But for now, fans wanting a Superman/Juggernaut fight will have to be content with this fanart.
