From hulking strongmen to ultra-talented martial artists, there are a plethora of powerful characters in Jujutsu Kaisen's intricate power systems and complex characters, however, make it a breath of fresh even among its contemporary shōnen hits.

More so than most other shōnen series, Jujutsu Kaisen's most powerful characters are a diverse bunch. Cursed-energy sorcerers, cursed spirits, and people without special abilities can all go head-to-head without any one group inherently having a significant advantage over the other. This is part of what makes the series so interesting, as the diverse group of Jujutsu Kaisen's strongest characters make fights a test of will and smarts as much as raw strength.

35 Kasumi Miwa

Debuted in Chapter #18 and Episode #8

Kasumi Miwa is one of Jujutsu Kaisen’s characters without very striking techniques or coming from an exceptional lineage; however, she is one of the most notable sorcerers among the Kyoto students thanks to her mastery of the New Shadow Style with the baton sword, which is the fastest sword-drawing technique. Miwa was defeated by Maki in the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc; however, she is capable of using a simple domain thanks to being Kusakabe's disciple.

Also, Miwa showed her determination to risk herself for others, sacrificing her past training and her future by using a binding vow to launch the most powerful attack she could in her life to recover the prison realm, but in exchange, she would no longer be able to wield a katana again. However, Kenjaku stopped the attack with one hand and without receiving damage.

34 Noritoshi Kamo is an Expert in Blood Manipulation

Debuted in Chapter #32 and Episode #14

One of the students that the Jujutsu High students faced during the Kyoto Goodwill Events is Noritoshi Kamo. A member of the Kamo clan, Noritoshi has a special cursed technique that allows him to fully manipulate and control his blood.

Noritoshi is a third-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High and has the same name as his ancestor who created the Cursed Womb Death Paintings.

He can coat the head of arrows in his own blood in order to precisely aim at a target. He can also compress and condense his blood at will, turning it into various offensive objects such as sharp projectiles and wide nets. In a nutshell, Noritoshi’s technique is blood-curdling, and he’s a formidable sorcerer that will give one hell of a battle.

33 Panda is a Powerful Cursed Corpse

Debuted in Chapter #10 and Episode #5

Another ing character in Jujutsu Kaisen that has thoroughly confused viewers is Panda. While he may look like a full-grown panda, Panda is actually a cursed corpse created by the school’s principal Masamichi Yaga.

He also attends Jujutsu High and is currently categorized as a grade 2 sorcerer. Because of his innate affinity for jujutsu, Panda can also exorcise curses and has an extremely durable body. He can also switch cores that allow him to harness powerful jujutsu techniques based on other animals like gorilla, triceratops, and rhino. This makes him a terrifying enemy to face on the battlefield.

32 Toge Inumaki Can Command Anybody with Just a Word

Debuted in Chapter #10 and Episode #5

In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, some sorcerers are handed down special abilities that only exist within their clan. An example of this is the Inumaki clan’s cursed speech technique, which has been exhibited by the semi-grade 1 sorcerer Toge Inumaki.

Toge's Cursed Speech technique isn't just about forcing obedience. It can also be used to hurt his targets physically, which makes it a nifty and dangerous skill.

All sorcerers fear Toge’s cursed speech technique as it allows him to command people around him and obey him. He can even use devices such as cellphones and megaphones to widen his skill’s coverage. However, the commands do take a toll on Toge’s physique, especially if it’s somewhat difficult and demanding. Because of his air of mystique and silent charm, Toge is one of Jujutsu Kaisen’s most loved characters.

31 Haruta Shigemo Has an Almost Invincible Cursed Technique

Debuted in Chapter #52 and Episode #20

Haruta Shigemo is a curse who has a psychopathic personality and a sadistic nature that enjoys torturing and killing others. Shigemo's miracle technique allows him to collect small miracles represented as arrows under his eyes in the anime, and store them to use as lifesavers that are activated when Shigemo finds himself in a life-threatening situation. This makes him practically invincible as long as he has storage miracles.

Although Shigemo's strength is equal to Nobara's, he was able to overpower her temporarily by using Nitta, in addition to being skilled and elusive, attacking his opponents by surprise, especially with his moving cursed hand sword. However, Shigemo is weaker than a grade 1 Jujutsu sorcerer, as Nanami easily beat him. Shigemo's technique might be powerful, but he relied too much on it and was careless, dying 4 times during his confrontation with Nanami and Nobara, being eventually killed by Sukuna.

30 Eso and Kechizu are a Deadly Cursed Wombs Duo

Debuted in Chapter #55 and Episode #22

The cursed wombs, Death Painting's brothers Eso and Kechizu have a unique constitution that allows them to use blood-related cursed techniques just like Choso. Even though Eso and Kechizu were fairly weak compared to Choso, their technique, Rot, which poisons and decomposes their target's body, and Maximum Wing King, which allows it to hit their target at a distance, could be extremely deadly and even considered one that guarantees victory once it hits, even more so by working as a team.

However, Eso and Kechizu were a bad match to face Nobara, who used resonance to connect to the enemies' bodies, and Itadori, who was resistant to poison by being the vessel of Sukuna. Furthermore, Eso could still have won in a battle of endurance but released his technique after hearing his brother's cry and chose to save him without a second thought—an action that hit more after finding out they were related to Itadori.

29 Takuma Ino is a Powerful Associate

Debuted in Chapter #26 and Episode #12

Ino is a grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer and one of the few to show his abilities since Jujutsu Kaisen 0. In season 1, Nanami left Ino in charge of defeating the transfigured humans, trusting that he could do it alone and encouraging him by offering him a recommendation to be promoted to grade 1, which demonstrates Ino’s potential and skills. Additionally, Ino could have been a semi-grade 1 sorcerer already; it wasn't because he wanted to be recommended by Nanami due to his respect for him.

In Jujutsu Kaisen’s official fanbook, Gege Akutami states that Ino isn’t weak, and many strong sorcerers are grade 1 or 2, but it's easy to lose perspective with Satoru Gojo around.

Ino has great levels of cursed energy, in addition to his innate cursed technique known as Auspicious Beasts Summon, which he can use by hiding his face with a mask that allows him to become a spiritual medium for four beasts: Kaichi, Reiki, Kirin, and Ryu. Ino demonstrated great abilities in combat in Shibuya, and although he was easily defeated by Toji Fushiguro, he was able to survive an attack from him.

28 Nobara Kugisaki is a Dangerous Foe Who Never Loses Her Calm

Debuted in Chapter #3 and Episode #2

What makes Nobara so powerful is not necessarily her technique, but her fearlessness in battle. She is always calm under pressure, and never allows herself to panic or slip into despair. During the Goodwill event, she handily defeated the grade 2 sorcerer, Momo Nishimiya, despite only being ranked as a grade 3 sorcerer at the time. Later, when she and Yuji fought Kechizu and Eso, Nobara managed to keep her cool, even when she was poisoned by their Rot Technique: Decay.

Nobara's Straw Doll Technique has the potential to flip any fight in her favor, and she is dangerous not only at close distance but also at long range. Her power level is worthy of a grade 1 sorcerer, and she certainly has more room to grow. That is, if she is still alive after the events of the Shibuya Arc, as fans have theorized.

27 Masamichi Yaga is the Foremost Puppet Manipulation Sorcerer

Debuted in Chapter #3 and Episode #2

Masamichi Yaga, in addition to being a grade 1 Jujutsu sorcerer, reached a high position in the organization of being in charge of guiding the new generation of students as the director of Tokyo Jujutsu High, thanks to the combination of his incomparable mastery of jujutsu puppet manipulation and his intellect, demonstrating a level of expertise and advanced understanding of the fundamentals of jujutsu as well as the level of authority to be respected even by Gojo Satoru.

Even though the director and Mechamaru share the same type of cursed technique, Yaga is described in Jujutsu Kaisen's official fanbook as the foremost practitioner of puppet jujutsu sorcery, since he exhibits a skill that goes beyond conventional techniques, creating cursed corpses that can be controlled through the use of an incantation, but they can also act independently and also a special one like Panda, who has unique abilities and advanced combat skills.

26 Yoshinobu Gakuganji Shreds Curses by Shredding a Guitar

Debuted in Chapter #18 and Episode #8

The principal of Jujutsu High hasn't had too many opportunities to show his true power, but that doesn't mean he's not one of Jujutsu Kaisen's strongest characters. A fun twist on the classic old man character archetype popularized by characters like Master Roshi, the Third Hokage, and Chairman Netero, Gakuganji's special ability is to amplify sound through his electric guitar.

Decked out in a metal shirt, Gakuganji's shredding can absolutely obliterate cursed spirits, making the principal of Jujutsu High a dangerous threat. Despite his considerable power though, his limited role in combat during the series combined with the fact that so many of the series' younger sorcerers are legitimate prodigies means that the new generation of fighters has mostly outpaced Gakuganji. Still, when push comes to shove, Gakuganji is a major threat to almost anyone who would dare to underestimate him.
