Disney's newest star-studded adventure movie, Jungle Cruise is an action-packed extravaganza, with just the right amount of comedy thrown in, thanks to Dwayne Johnson's pun-tastic humor. The hunt for the Tears Of The Moon makes for a tantalizing escapade, and the vibrant characters in the beautiful Amazonian jungles elevate the movie to the next level.

A hypnotic mix of history, wildlife, and mythology, Jungle Cruise had characters who ranged from smart to those who valued survival above all else. Their unique personalities make for interesting astrological analyses too and they compare to the sun and stars in interesting ways.

Aries: Lily Houghton

Known for the blind optimism and zest they lead their lives with, Aries' love charging forward towards their goals. Dr. Lily Houghton is a lot like these rams - bold, intelligent, and always ready for a challenge. After the arrival of the Houghtons at Porto Velho, she wanted to get started on the hunt for the Tears Of The Moon as soon as they landed, much to MacGregor's chagrin.

Being a leader came naturally to Lily, just like the first sign of the zodiac, both in academia where she was an authority in her subject, as well as when she was on Frank's cruise and leading the way.

Taurus: MacGregor Houghton

Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, and Jack Whitehall in Jungle Cruise

Lily's younger brother was a lover of beauty, fine things, money, and relaxing environments. Comfort and luxury were important to McGregor, which resembles Taurus the most. His daydreams of Rome and lunch at Boodle's continued in the swamps of the Amazon.

However, MacGregor's personality wasn't limited to just being an epicurean - he valued loyalty and grit, and believed in sticking up for his own beliefs, as well as the people who stood by him, like Lily. In 1916, being gay wasn't merely frowned upon, but wholly unacceptable, and MacGregor didn't sacrifice a fraction of his individuality even when society ostracized him, much like the celestial bull. He was easily one of the best characters in Jungle Cruise.

Gemini: Melchor & Sancho

Melchor and Sancho were two of the many lost Spanish conquistadors that the jungle had taken into its fold when they had come looking for the Tears Of The Moon. They couldn't stray far from the river, and their bodies and souls were entwined with the elements of the forest - the mud, the bee combs, the trees, and the wildlife.

Just like the twins of astrology, these vengeful half human/half forest creatures worked in tandem even centuries after they were trapped in the forest. They were hyperactive, moved fast, and attacked at the drop of a hat just like the star sign, in a bid to lift the curse that had been unleashed on them because of Aguirre's bad decision-making.

Cancer: The Chief's Daughter

The Guardians of the Tree were a kindly tribe - they had found Aguirre and his conquistadors in bad shape, and the Chief of the tribe with his daughter, nursed them back to health with the Tears as well as with their warm hospitality. The unnamed daughter held power over the material and cosmic realms and could sense energies just like the highly intuitive Cancer.

Cancers love to build safe sanctuaries for themselves and others and enjoy nurturing people in the same way the Chief's daughter did. Her protective sentiment for the Tree and her tribe ran so deep that she didn't care if she would lose her life, so long as she protected the Arrowhead.

Leo: Proxima

Proxima walks on a tree.

Although Proxima was a wild cat, her comparison to Leo doesn't just end there. The Kings of the zodiac love to make an entrance, or when somebody lavishes them with attention. The mighty jaguar was no less, with the spirited show she put on at the diner for her very scared audience.

Expressive and intelligent, Frank's pet did as she pleased in her vivacious ways. Proxima was the queen of the Amazon, just like Leos rule their celestial forests.

Virgo: Frank Wolff

The amusing skipper was no ordinary man - he was one of the most skilled cartographers of his time, and at least four centuries old. Cartography requires precision and accuracy like no other, especially when mapping uncharted territories, which Frank had in spades. Virgos are famed for their perfectionism and the ability to organize.

Besides his mapping acumen, Frank or Francisco was gentle and kind at heart. He had seen civilizations end, and built his own town from the ground up, which filled him with the wisdom and generosity of the goddess of Virgo.

Libra: Trader Sam

Jungle Cruise's Trader Sam got refreshed to suit modern sensibilities and to address the problem of racism the Disney character had faced earlier. This time, Trader Sam was a lady and not a stereotypical tribal woman by any means. She looked out for her people and aimed to achieve balance when it came to their indigenous ways of living and the new world.

Like a Libra, she had a knack for recognizing business opportunities and find objects hidden in plain sight. She dealt expertly with money, but always for the good of her tribe. Even her decision to abandon MacGregor with Joachim was done keeping this goal in mind.

Scorpio: Prince Joachim

Calculating and lethal, nothing could stop Prince Joachim from stinging his enemies - namely Lily and company, who wanted the Tears Of The Moon for the greater good, as opposed to Joachim's motive of world domination.

Like the astrological arachnid, he was several steps ahead of his enemies with superior weapons, submarines, and alliances with the strange Spaniards. He epitomized ruthless ambition, destruction, and a hunger for power like no one else in the movie.

Sagittarius: Lope de Aguirre

Sagittarius is known for their wanderlust, and Aguirre embodied this quest for knowledge that spanned across the globe. To heal his sick daughter, he chased the Tears Of The Moon to the picturesque but deadly Amazon, which eventually resulted in his body and soul getting trapped in the forest forever.

His impatience, sharp tongue, and merciless ways made him attack the Guardians, even though they had shown only kindness and saved their lives when the conquistadors were unable to carry on. This bluntness is characteristic of this sign, and Aguirre was a powerful Disney villain to be feared.

Capricorn: Sir James Hobbs-Cunningham

The goats of the zodiac are prone to being traditionalists, just like Sir James Hobbs-Cunningham, the main spokesperson of the Association. The old nobleman was quite conservative in his ways, and his love for convention didn't allow him to give the Houghtons a chance at the materials they needed to get to the Tears Of The Moon.

As a prominent part of the Association, he had gained a considerable amount of power and authority, which are two things that Capricorns love and will work very hard for.
