Director Zack Snyder has recently confirmed he will be releasing, along with DC Universe have been asking for this announcement since the movie was on theaters. Many believed the vision of Snyder was changed too much and that affected the end product.

The production of the movie was overtaken by Joss Whedon as Snyder stepped out of direction duties to attend a family tragedy. Critics pointed out the clash of styles between both directors and gave the movie bad reviews. But with this announcement, the internet has lost its mind and produce all kinds of memes. We show you some here below.

It Exists!

It exists!

Since November of 2017, speculation started to go around about a possible cut from the movie, very different from the one audiences saw in theaters. The many issues that plagued the production of the film started to come out and this only increased the rumors about an alternate version of Justice League.

A petition in change.org was even started, asking Warner Bros to release the then not-confirmed original cut of Zack Snyder. As the year went on, DC fans ramped up their inquiries until March 2019, when Snyder himself confirmed the existence of it.

It Wasn't What Fans Were Expecting

It Wasnt What Fans Were Expecting

The original Justice League was panned by critics and moviegoers alike. Even in the financial aspect, when these types of movies tend to outperform despite bad reviews, it didn't go well. The movie was a mess at plot and tonal level and it interrupted what Zack Snyder intended for DC cinematic universe.

Among many other things, fans have attributed the disaster to the studio meddling trying to get the Dc universe closer to what the Marvel movies were doing at the time. This resulted in forceful humor and changing of character traits that many affirmed wouldn't happen under Snyder.

They Are Resilient

They Are Resiliant

DC fans are a tenacious breed of fans. Wanting to always see their favorite characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that proved these movies not only could be made but could exist inside a shared universe and be financially sound.

It was the turn for DC and it all started with Batman V. Supermanwhich, despite some issues of the plot (Martha anyone?), fans still liked it. They have been through a lot.

Many Thank AT&T

Many Thank AT&T

Warner Bros. was accused of interfering too much with the production of the film, eager to copy Marvel and, in the process, destroying what could be a good film. Apparently, Zack Snyder's original vision was too dark for what executives wanted, so they opted to light the mood through rewrites done by Joss Whedon.

These fear-motivated decisions were attributed by many journalists to the merge between AT&T and Warner Media. Executives were trying to make Justice League successful at any cost, fearing the disappearing of the studio after the merge. After this, under AT&T, the Snyder Cut was still release.

Oh Yeah, Now There's Darkside

Oh Yeah, Now There's Darkside

In a recent tweet, director Zack Snyder posted a never before seen picture of what it appears to be the legendary villain from DC Comics Darkseid. In the original movie, the villain was Steppenwolf, a minion of the real super bad guy. This led to a lot of people wishing to have seen Darkseid in the movie and apparently that's the show was meant to be.

Now, everybody is wondering what was Warner Bros. thinking by leaving such a pivotal and beloved character out of the film. It seems that the new cut won't be repeating those mistakes and the king of Apokolips will make his appearance.

The Fans Wanted It!

The Snyder Cut, officially named, Zack Snyder's Justice League, is going to be released via streaming through HBO's new platform HBO MAX in 2021. This could be seen as a dream coming true for many fans, and as a miracle for regular moviegoers. You see, nobody expected Warner Bros. to actually come through and listen to the fans.

But they wanted it, and they let Zack and his wife, producer Deborah Snyder, know about their enthusiasm. Zack has said that he always wanted to release but it wasn't his place to do it. Now, if he wants to thank somebody, that would be probably the fans.

A Bad Memory

A Bad Memory

Now, with the news of confirmation, many fans can start their process of healing. After being ignored for almost 3 years, they can dream again of the Justice League film they always wanted to see and forget what they felt when they watched Joss Whedon version of the movie. A bit dramatic? Yes, but DC fans are intense like that.

Regarding the Whedon version, a lot of people would tell you they are not fans of that one. Whedon style may have been perfect for Marvel Cinematic Universe tone, but when he tried to change the course Snyder had set, it was all disastrous.

People Didn't Like That One

People Didn't Like That One

An example of what Joss Whedon did to Snyder's vision is encapsulated in this line. In the movie, Superman has gone rogue after being revived and starts to attack the of the league. This scene in particular is infamous for two things. First, it was the awful visual effect in Henry Cavill's face trying to remove the mustache he grew for Mission Impossible: Fallout.

Second, in the face to face confrontation with Batman, Superman returns the menacing question Batman asked him in the previous film "Do You Bleed?". After Batman is tossed around he mutters "Something is definitely bleeding". "Ugh!" said all Snyder fans at unison.

What About Other Director's Cuts?

What About Other Directors Cuts

A similar controversy has been going around since "Release Snyder Cut" was a thing. Director David Ayer's film, Suicide Squadwas subject to a similar fate than Justice League. Studio meddling resulted in a bunch of reshoots of the film, trying, again, to turn it into a Marvel-like film. This ended in several reshoots, five different cuts of the movie, one of them being edited by a trailer company.

Fans all over the world have asked to see the Ayer cut, suspecting it existed. Having success with Snyder cut by campaigning in social media, many ask what else is hidden but the studios? A hope for movies that could be great but weren't.

Ok, This Is Going Too Far

Ok, This Is Going Too Far

Yep. Nope. As hilarious as this meme can be (and an example of what nobody wants to see), Sonic The Hedgehog is an example of what ionate fans can do for the properties they love. Like the Snyder Cut, many rallied on the internet when the first trailer for Sonic was released. The design of the hedgehog was hated by everyone.

A year later, after the announcement of the movie being delay, fans were treated to a second trailer that met their expectations. The movie could be a disaster but with that change, it was actually great! So, this proves fans voicing their concerns can help sometimes, and that Sonic The Hedgehog movie is the only valid cut of the movie.
