Birds of Prey #17 by Kelly Thompson, Sam Basri, Vicente Ficuentes, Adriano Lucas, and Clayton Cowles opens with the titular team attacking the Ninth Day cult to save Batgirl, who has been turned into a hulking brute. Big Barda attempts to talk sense into Batgirl, only for her former ally to inject her with the super-soldier serum that transformed her.
Big Barda appears to be compromised, but in a shocking turn, she isn't affected by Batgirl's needle injection. Like Superman, Barda has enhanced durability that makes her immune to many physical attacks, solidifying this Justice League hero as a "Woman of Steel" in her own right.
