Even though superhero fans might wish for the opposite, the DCEU doesn't treat all its superheroes the same way. Some have a clear advantage over others. For example, they get their own solo movies and have more space in team movies as well. This can apply to heroes such as Superman, Wonder Woman, or even Harley Quinn. But other promising heroes got much worse treatment - such as Victor Stone aka Cyborg.
Despite all his powers, Cyborg was barely present in the Justice League. He helped a lot but was pushed out of the spotlight. Luckily, it seems like the Snyder Cut is about to change that!
Should Change: Meeting Other Heroes
Cyborg already meets several superheroes in the Justice League when he s the team. However, if the available information about Snyder Cut is true, he could meet a lot more, albeit for a second. For example, Ryan Choi, who becomes the superhero known as the Atom, will work for Cyborg's dad Silas in the film. And the Snyder Cut will also include Martian Manhunter whom Cyborg could potentially meet too.
Should Stay The Same: Diana Recruits Him
Cyborg isn't all that excited about ing the Justice League at first. He still struggles with what happened to him and mostly wants other people to leave him alone. Yet he changes his mind in the end, and Wonder Woman is the reason for it. Diana is kind to him and she convinces him that people don't have to be alone even when they feel like they will never fit in with the others again.
Should Change: Cyborg's Dad
One of the things that remain unclear about the story is what will happen to Cyborg's dad. Silas Stone and his son might not get along, but Cyborg still cares about what happens to his dad.
The trailer for the Snyder Cut shows Silas hurt and possibly dying. Whether he survives or not, it would be good if the Snyder Cut could provide a definite answer about his fate.
Should Stay The Same: Cyborg Befriends People
Throughout the film, Cyborg slowly, but surely changes. He starts out bitter and upset about what happened to him. But as time progresses, he becomes more confident in his new abilities and he befriends others.
He seems to get closer to Barry Allen aka the Flash and also gets along well with Wonder Woman, the person who recruited him into the Justice League in the first place.
Should Change: Cyborg And The Flash Spend More Time Together
The budding friendship between the Flash and Cyborg was a nice touch in the original Justice League. Considering the limited screen time, it might have felt like it came out of nowhere. The Snyder Cut could fix this detail by giving Cyborg and the Flash more time together.
It looks like they will be busy trying to figure out how to stop Steppenwolf from bringing all the Mother Boxes together. That should also give them the opportunity to get to know the other hero better.
Should Stay The Same: Cyborg Takes On Superman
One of the film's more epic scenes happened when the Justice League took on the newly resurrected Superman. Superman was confused about what was happening, amnesiac, and he lashed out. The League fought him, and Cyborg chimed in, like all of them.
It was a good moment of the team working together before the main battle and the Snyder Cut could keep it in, although it might be slightly different the second time around.
Should Change: Cyborg's Past
Unlike most of the DCEU superheroes, Cyborg's past life remained shrouded in mystery. He was a successful athlete and had a shiny future ahead of him. Until an accident happened and he became who he is.
The original plan was to show more of his past but it didn't happen. The Snyder Cut should fix that by showing things, such as Victor playing football, while he was still 100% human.
Should Stay The Same: Cyborg Is More Attached To His Mom
By the time Justice League happens, Cyborg's mom is already gone. He isn't on the best of with his dad since he blames him for what his appearance so it's not completely a surprise that Victor is more attached to his mom and misses her greatly. The Snyder Cut will reflect this fact even more since it will feature a scene in which Cyborg breaks down while visiting his mother's grave.
Should Change: Cyborg Will Be The Heart Of The Movie
In the original version of Justice League, Cyborg was supposed to have much more space. However, when Zack Snyder stepped back after a family tragedy, there was a decision came to sideline Cyborg.
Instead, the creators put emphasis on more established heroes, such as Batman and Wonder Woman. The Snyder Cut should presumably change all that, and Cyborg will finally get the space he deserves. Who knows, maybe this will lead to him getting his own solo movie?
Should Stay The Same: Cyborg Is A Powerful Hero
Despite his initial lack of interest to the Justice League, Cyborg is a powerful hero and has a lot to offer to the team. Even though the film didn't give him the opportunity to show it, Cyborg is intelligent and inventive.
And thanks to his cybernetic body, he can do things no other member of the Justice League is capable of. The Snyder Cut plans to utilize his powers even more.
