Jesse Eisenberg says he would love to play Lex Luthor again. Eisenberg first played the DC villain in Justice League. The final scene of the movie revealed that Lex had broken out of prison and, based on his meeting with Deathstroke, teased that he was planning on setting up the Legion of Doom.

Despite Justice League setting up a bigger role for Lex Luthor in the DCEU, Warner Bros. has begun taking a different approach to the series. Rather than Aquaman 2, but these days Warner Bros. seems to be a lot less concerned with setting up an extended universe. This approach seems to be working well for Warner Bros., but many fans would like a conclusion to Lex Luthor's storyline, including Eisenberg himself.

In an interview with INTHEPANDA, Eisenberg revealed that he would love to return to the role of Lex Luthor in the DCEU. Eisenberg doesn't confirm his return in any way but seems ionate about the possibility. The actor's quote can be read in full below:

"Oh yeah, I would love to because it’s such a cool character. To play a villain in a superhero movie is the fun part. The good guys are fine but the villain is the fun part cause you get to be more flamboyant. The hero usually gets to survive but the villain has all the funny lines.”

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in Batman V Superman

With the DCEU being one of the biggest projects Eisenberg has been involved with in his career, the actor hasn't been shy about talking about Lex Luthor in interviews. The actor has spoken out about his future in the DCEU before, once revealing his asked about The Snyder Cut of Justice League, which the actor confirmed he had never heard of before.

Lex Luthor's return is still unknown at this time, but at least Warner Bros. has the opportunity to give Eisenberg a call if they wanted to. Eisenberg seems more than willing to return, but after Justice League, it's rather unlikely that he ever will. Henry Cavill being interested in returning as Superman, there hasn't been any word on when, or if, the sequel will happen. For now, fans will have to hang tight until Warner Bros. decides what to do with Lex Luthor.
