Quite literally falling apart and on the verge of death, Plastic Man consults a petroleum specialist.
Realizing that it’s not only himself at risk, but his estranged son who shares his elastic disposition, O’Brian returns to the specialist and learns that nuclear fission is the only possible cure – to which he replies, in four succinct sentences: “You’re saying I gotta build a huge nuclear bomb. Okay. Sounds good. Let’s do that.”
