After years of fan demand, Warner Bros. will soon release the Snyder Cut of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice's theatrical release, Zack Snyder's Justice League will finally become available for mass consumption, primarily via Warner Media's still relatively new HBO Max streaming service.

The release of Zack Snyder's Justice League represents the culmination of years of requesting, demanding, complaining, begging and everything in between from the Snyder faithful, egged on by the director himself. It's not hard to see why both Snyder and his fans wanted his cut to become a reality, as the Joss Whedon version differed starkly from what Snyder had envisioned, and failed to please many. It was also a box office disaster, lending further credence to the idea that Warner Bros. had backed the wrong horse.

Zack Snyder Justice League HBO Max pitch

While it's obviously not a revelation at this point, interested fans in the ol' U.S. of A will of course be able to stream the Snyder Cut of Justice League on HBO Max beginning March 18, 2021. Slightly complicating matters for the Snyder Cut of Justice League's online distribution strategy is the fact that HBO Max is currently only available in the U.S., although its first international offerings are scheduled to roll out this summer. In the meantime, HBO - and HBO Max - original content can be found on the Crave streaming service in Canada, including Zack Snyder's Justice League beginning on March 18. It's a bit steep cost-wise though, as Crave's base subscription costs $9.99, and its needed HBO add-on package is another $9.99 a month on top of the base price. To be fair, it's still not much more than the U.S. cost when exchange rates are factored in.

Justice League Movie Cast

Unfortunately for DC fans in the U.K., it's yet to be confirmed how exactly Zack Snyder's Justice League cut will be distributed there. HBO has a content deal for some of its cable programming with Sky Atlantic - and the Sky owned Now TV streaming service - but it remains to be seen if the Snyder Cut will fall under this agreement. It's conspicuous that no U.K. Snyder Cut announcement has been made as of yet, despite Warner Media doing so for multiple other countries and territories. That said, it's a big enough market that it's unlikely to take too long to get a deal hammered out, possibly even between this writing and March 18.
