Warning! Spoilers for Timeless #1 by Marvel Comics
Marvel's Timeless is set to tease what exciting storylines are coming next in the universe, and it appears Kang the Conqueror is getting an all-new rival. In a new tease for Timeless #1 by Marvel Comics, a new character named Myrddin is teased as Kang will seemingly face off against them, as they appear to be challenging his authority and his time-traveling plots.
Throughout his history in the pages of Marvel Comics, Kang the Conqueror hasn't really had anyone rivaling his combined powers and role in the universe. While Kang has battled the Avengers and Fantastic Four numerous times, the most common enemy in his plans to control time is himself, as his several variants have often been the biggest obstacles standing in his way. But, now, Kang is getting a new rival, as a preview for the Timeless event from Marvel Comics features a new character named Myrddin who will put the time-traveling villain on notice.
This week, Marvel Comics provided a new look at the second Timeless one-shot. With last year's comic teasing the events of what was coming from the publisher in 2022, with a story featuring Kang the Conqueror overlooking the timeline, the second one-shot will set up 2023's biggest stories. In the previews, Marvel is teasing a "Missing Moment" that will shape the future of the Marvel Universe, a new Twilight Court emerging, Kang looking for the "Missing Moment," and the longtime Marvel villain getting a rival of his own. One of the images features Kang's "mysterious new arch-rival" Myrddin, as the text shows the new character asking Kang how he doesn't understand the main aspect of the "Missing Moment" or the mysterious "Tribulation Events."
A Shocking Look At The Marvel Universe To Come
It's unclear what the "Missing Moment" or "Tribulation Events" are, but considering it's causing, Myrddin, a new rival of Kang the Conqueror, to step up and try to take him down, it's safe to assume they're universe-changing secrets. The preview for Timeless #1 teases Kang the Conqueror searching for the "Missing Moment," as he will be forced to go on the run "across the events of the Marvel Universe's future."

While little is known about Myrddin, the fact they are chasing down Kang the Conqueror as he searches for the "Missing Moment" across space and time, there should be considerable fireworks when the pair of villains encounter each other with the fate of the Marvel Universe seemingly on the line. Kang the Conqueror's next story begins when Timeless #1 from Marvel Comics by Jed MacKay, Greg Land, Patrick Zircher, Salvador Larraoca, and Kael Ngu arrives in comic book stores on December 28th.
