In an Instagram post from July 28, Kasey revealed that her dog Bear had ed away. Kasey never revealed the reason for her dog's ing but did express immense grief through her Instagram caption. Some of the images Kasye included in her post were of her snuggling with her dog and simply just having fun with her. In the last photo, Kasey did share an image of Bear in a carriage, indicating that Kasey's dog was likely suffering from some kind of illness. Kasey hasn't posted since, so she is likely still grieving her loss.

Kasey hasn’t ruled out returning to Below Deck Med in the future despite being away from the show for several years. Though her time filming in 2018 was brief and filled with drama, including a rocky start due to seasickness and tensions with her crew , Kasey left a memorable impression on fans.
