Agatha Harkness actor Kathryn Hahn reveals how she adapted a lesson from Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler into her relationship with the Joe Locke's Billy Maximoff a.k.a. Wiccan — Scarlet Witch's son.
In an episode of Mythical Kitchen, Agatha All Along star Kathryn Hahn recalls a lesson she learned from Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler and explains how she incorporated it into Agatha All Along. Hahn underlines the importance of maintaining an "ensemble" dynamic with her fellow MCU actors in Agatha All Along, with the priority of helping every actors "feel as free and comfortable to play". "I like an ensemble, like that's how I began as an ensemble [...] So I always think like... Taking lessons, like, from people that I've worked with the best in the number one position. I just think my job, like one of my jobs, is also to make an ensemble. Like make sure that everybody feels as comfortable as possible, as safe as possible. And I Amy... just being so ive of everybody with it would come and that they felt so free. Yeah, and that's, I think the main thing you want is to have every actor feel as free and comfortable to play."
Kathryn Hahn also highlights the diversity of Agatha All Along's cast. Hahn remarks that it "felt like a little coven" and it stands out because such a diverse group of actors and characters isn't "usually represented, especially in Marvel." Indeed, Agatha All Along's cast has been one of the most diverse in live-action. Hahn says:
"We had such an amazing cast of all ages, so like incredible women and... incredible queer people, Joe Locke... So, it definitely felt like a little coven because we were, it was such a scrappy group that aren't usually represented, especially in Marvel."
