is relaunching her KKW Beauty brand, but little has been known about it, until now. After the KKW Beauty posted on Instagram that the site would be shutting down for a few weeks, there have been new developments on what could be happening in the KKW world.
On July 6, the KKW Beauty Instagram announced the site would be temporarily shutting down for a brand change, slated for August 1. The post stated that there would be new formulas, and new elevated and innovative packaging changes. Many believed that this brand change would have to do with dropping the 'W' from KKW, to signify Kim dropping the 'West' from Kim Kardashian West. However, Kanye was rumored to be a collaborator on the new rebranding. Kim also has not dropped West from her legal name, so that was ruled out as the reasoning behind the changes.
Kim's company filed trademark documents to lock up the name 'SKKN,' the KK most likely being for her initials, and it sounds very similar to “skin.” The name could be used for her skincare products, beauty, makeup, and more. The name has been trademarked globally. As well as the name, SKKN.com and @SKKN social handles have been locked up, too. According to TMZ, Kim locked the website and the social media handles in December of 2020, so this has been in the works for a few months now.
Kim’s ability to build hype around her business ventures never comes up short. The reality star found herself on the Forbes World Billionaire list this year for SKIMS and KKW Beauty line, showing that Kim is known for more than just the show. With this rebrand, we can expect to see a lot of the same products KKW Beauty initially offered with new formulas and a new look.
One thing the Kardashians know how to do is market their brand. Just because the final season of Keeping Up with The Kardashians has come to its end doesn’t mean their reign is coming to an end! It can be expected that many more business ventures are to come. Stay alert for Kim’s beauty line revamp.
