Sony's first 2021 PlayStation 5, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) this August.

The Kena: Bridge of Spirits trailer showcased new characters and an extended look at the game's combat. Kena originally attracted PlayStation fans with its animation style, which many have compared to that of Pixar movies. It's safe to say Kena: Bridge of Spirits will likely end up as one of the most visually impressive games of the year.

In another delay to its already delayed March 2021 release window, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is now set to arrive on August 24, 2021. While a delay wasn't something any fan would have hope for, Ember Labs previously explained working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic has made development difficult, which likely explains why the relatively small team delayed the game a second time.

What Kena: Bridge Of Spirits' Release Date Will Bring

Kena: Bridge of Spirits' lush environments and beautiful animations may fool players into thinking the game won't delve into deeper, darker story elements, but the new trailer hints at just that. A young, human character is seen being transformed into a horrifying monster, which Kena then fights in an intense-looking boss battle.

As far as gameplay goes, the trailer showed off a few of Kena: Bridge of Spirits' combat abilities. Although dodging appears to be a large part of combat, as enemies tend to be far larger than Kena, she is able to create a shield bubble around her to protect her from enemy attacks, and she can shoot projectiles from her staff like a bow and arrow. It also looks like Kena has the ability to send a wave of  destructive energy out from her, damaging enemies in the vicinity.
