As fans are still waiting to see Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4 movie is eying a production start in the summer of 2025, time will tell how much longer the actor will keep playing the web-crawler. Even though he was mentioned in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the Miles Easter egg may soon be more than just a reference in the MCU.

In a new interview with Omelete (translated via Discussing Film,) Feige chimed on when Miles could be making his live-action arrival in the MCU. While citing Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse as Miles' next destination, Feige offered up the following update:

Miles will appear in the third ‘Spider-Verse’ movie, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action.

What Kevin Feige's Miles Morales Comments Mean

From Feige's commentary alone, it is no surprise that Sony Pictures, which has the character rights to Miles, is prioritizing the character for the Spider-Verse trilogy finale. The Spider-Verse movies are what helped bring a bigger awareness to Miles with the general audience. That is why Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse should be the primary place where he shows up next before they start thinking about his live-action counterpart.

Feige's statement could also be a sign that they have yet to form a deal with Sony Pictures about bringing Miles properly into the MCU timeline. Since Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' focus on live-action Spider-Man stories will be Spider-Man 4, Peter will still carry that title for the foreseeable future. But there is always the possibility that after The Multiverse Saga, the MCU will have a more natural point where they can bring Miles into the fold and finally tell his story.

Our Take On Kevin Feige's Miles Morales Comments

Animated Miles Morales in Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse

While it would be fun to see Miles in live-action sooner rather than later, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures should absolutely not rush his live-action debut as it has to be done properly when the time comes around. With Miles being such a beloved Spider-Man, it will be better for the MCU to establish his place in the franchise once Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios know exactly how they want to introduce Miles. But until then, the world will have to wait and see how Miles Morales gets his MCU treatment and when that will actually happen.
