Most of Key And Peele's skits featured one-off characters, though certain characters - like Key's angry teacher Mr. Garvey or the hyperactive Valets - reappeared a few times throughout the series. One of the best, and creepiest, was Jordan Peele's uber nerd Wendell. The character made his debut during season 2's "Pizza Order," where he orders a large amount of pizza over the phone to Key's pizza clerk Carlos.

Wendell pretends there's a huge party happening at his place and refers to his many Lord Of The Rings' toys as his friends, including "girlfriend" Liv, named after Liv Tyler's Arwen. This act proves a little too convincing when Carlos starts asking after "Claire," another of Wendell's fake friends, as he feels they share a connection. In classic Key And Peele fashion, "Pizza Order" quickly spirals downhill from there as Wendell's lies get more and more elaborate when he can't it the truth that he's just a lonely geek who wanted to appear impressive over the phone.

Wendell would appear in a few more Key And Peele skits following "Pizza Order," including one where he s a sex addict group and another where he performs a skin-crawlingly awful power ballad called "The Power Of Wings." While Wendell is undeniably creepy, Jordan Peele performs the character with a sense of empathy, so it's easy to sympathize with him too. Peele himself is something of a huge geek and once stated he feels Wendell is one possible version of his own persona.
