Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West announced that she will be freezing her Instagram and Facebook social media s to protest hate speech. 2020 has been a tough year for many, and the Kardashian-Jenner family have gone through quite a lot as well. Kim's husband, Kanye West, has been campaigning to become President of the United States. During one of his political rallies, Kanye exposed to the public that he and Kim considered aborting their first child, which was a shocking revelation for a celebrity to make in such a public space.

All in all, will be ending in 2021.

Kim Kardashian West has now taken to social media to announce that she's freezing her Instagram and Facebook s as a form of protest against online hate speech. This is part of the Stop Hate For Profit initiative which aims to "to social media companies able for hate on their platforms." In her post (seen below), Kim acknowledges that she likes connecting with fans through Instagram and Facebook. However, Kim also states the following: "I can't sit by and stay silent while these platforms continue to allow the spreading of hate, propaganda and misinformation." She believes that this behavior directly impacts the political division that the United States is currently facing.

Later in her post,  Kim Kardashian says that she'll be freezing her Instagram and Facebook social media s tomorrow. This seems to be particularly targeted at Facebook, which also owns Instagram. Nonetheless, it is unclear whether Kim is freezing these s for an extended period of time that begins tomorrow, or if she'll only freeze the s for the duration of one day. Still, she urges her followers to click on the link provided in her bio, which directs people to the official Stop Hate For Profit website.

Given the year that the Kardashian-Jenner family has had, it is not entirely surprising that Kim Kardashian is choosing to take a stance against hate speech. However, her opposition to Facebook in particular is somewhat new, given that Instagram is one of her biggest social media platforms.
