Many players are diving into Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as well and experiencing all that the sequel to the action role-playing game has to offer, along with discovering if they can keep playing the game after beating the campaign. It's a fair enough question to ask because, like many single-player RPGs with a heavy story focus, it usually remains uncertain whether you will be allowed to continue exploring the open world when the credits finish rolling. Depending on the answer, this can affect the best way for players to approach the game.

If a game like KCD2 doesn't allow you to continue your playthrough once beating the story, players will need to play as many side quests as they can before they complete the narrative and experience the final chapters of this part in less frustrating combat. Thankfully, while there are points of no return for the game's campaign, players shouldn't have to worry about fitting everything in before the credits.

You Can Keep Playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 After Beating It

Carry On Exploring Bohemia After The Credits Roll

Luckily for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players who want to finish the campaign, you can keep playing the game after finishing the story. Without going into spoilers, this means that once "The End" card and watch the final cutscenes, you'll first have a Trophy or Achievement pop up with the same name. Then, you will be teleported back into the world with a final summary screen.

A new roap has been revealed for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with a host of content updates both free and paid through the end of the year.

Depending on the ending you got in the game, you can read a quick recap of events. In the end, however, the game then states that "you can return to completing unfinished side quests and exploring the Kuttenberg and Trosky regions". This means if you're not a completionist who likes to finish all the side content before seeing the end of the campaign last, you can take your time. If there were any parts of the game or extra missions you didn't see through, now is the time to do so.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Points Of No Return

A Key Mission For Each Area To Keep In Mind

While you can continue exploring in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 after beating the game, there are two points of no return to keep in mind first. This means when you start certain quests in the campaign, you'll be locked in from exploring anymore or completing any extra side quests until the end of the game. The first point of no return is the mission called "Necessary Evil" for the Trosky region of the game.

Even if you can keep playing the game post-credits, it's still best to play as much side content as you can before beating the story. It creates a more immersive and fulfilling experience but isn't a deal-breaker if you decide against it.

The second point for the Kuttenberg region, and the final point of no return for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is the mission called "Oratores". Even if you're unsure, the game will give you ample warnings you're at the point of no return either way. Even if you just decide to plow ahead, you'll still be able to keep playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 after you beat its epic story.
