A strange glitch on the official new Kirby game from developer HAL Laboratory. Despite apparent hints in the past, no such news has made the rounds as of yet.
Nintendo Switch owners aren't completely starving for content, though. A fair few Kirby-centric experiences have already hit the hybrid console in the years since its early 2017 debut. HAL Laboratory brought the platformer Kirby Star Allies to the system in 2018, for example. The action role-playing title Super Kirby Clash touched down the following year, opening the door to a free-to-play multiplayer experience. September 2020 saw Nintendo publish Kirby Fighters 2, a fighter packed with familiar friends and foes. With the pattern set, it's easy to see what fans expect a 2021 release of some kind. While the news is slow on this front, Nintendo inadvertently provided Kirby enthusiasts with a different type of entertainment.

This seems to be a simple error, an easily fixable one at that. What happened exactly isn't known, but at least Kirby fans got to ponder the possibilities for a while, especially since gaming-related information remains scant.
Nintendo Switch s as a whole are still in for quite a treat throughout the rest of 2021. Most notably, Metroid Dread hits the platform this fall on October 8, the same day the hardware manufacture plans to unleash Switch's all-new OLED model. Mario Party Superstars also comes to the system in October; meanwhile, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will land on November 19.
The most recent Kirby-starring adventure, Kirby Fighters 2, hit stores for Nintendo Switch in September 2020.
